Our passes this year are for the new-ish Lake Ave Garage. Far from the stadium, but nice access to Cumberland and no sewer treatment plant in the proximity.

Questions:
Does it have rooftop parking?
Is there a line of sight for a satellite dish?
Are there power outlets within a reasonable distance?

I meant to get down there to scope it out, but have just been too busy this week.

Thanks for any, and all, advice!

It does have rooftop parking. I don't know the limits about parking there on gamedays. I remember I parked there with a Non-commuter pass last year as a freshman but I have no idea about parking there for a game. Good luck!

There is NO easy access to Cumberland. Parked there once & got out on Tuesday. The KPD (keystone kops) block every access off & keep u frm getting on Cumberland. I feel bad for u...thats the worst place in Kviile to park!!!

As a student I parked there all last year, I lived in a dorm close (relatively) to that garage. While there is rooftop parking the top 3 levels in non commuter student parking and football traffic could only park in the lower 3 levels. Idk about this year though. Also it is a terrible place to park because of what the other guy said. Only way out is down to Volunteer which once took me about 30ish minites to get too then God knows which way the cops will route you. Once I got sent to downtown to I think Henley st (took at least a ****ing hour), once to the Alcoa exit via volunteer (quickest) and once thru the ag campus to Aloca hwy.

IIRC football parking is only the bottom three floors. Rooftop consists of student non-commuter parking. You be able to get a line of sight for a dish as long as you get an exterior parking spot. No clue about power outlets though. Yea and good luck getting out of there. Lake Ave is usually a 45 minute log jam. Good luck and Go Vols.

If I had a thousand years to think up possible message board thread titles, "Lake Ave Garage Questions" would not have been one of them.

I plan to park at the Market Square garage tomorrow. I would arrive at about 2:30, is this too late? will the garage be full by then? I take I-75 North to get home, is there another place that anyone would suggest? I am young and don't mind to walk a mile, two or even three.

Unfortunately KD, I have to agree with volboy here. I have this pass too but rarely use it as we come via the Navy. My wife has come to the tailgate late before and getting in isn't the problem but she was cursing me after the game because I took the boat and beat her home.

My advice? Stick around after the game for an extra hour and tailgate...it'll make life easier.

Good luck.

I would get there earlier. Much earlier. Like 10-11 am earlier. The market square and state street garage are both free and there is plenty to do downtown in the meantime.
