Lady Vols vs. Belmont Game Thread

We've been getting back door'd all game. Lord knows that's ND's specialty. If we can't stop it against a slow footed Belmont, we ain't stopping it against ND.

we have to get a little tougher...get in position and take some charges...

GO LADY VOLS!

New years resolution. Play to our strengths. Improve on our weaknesses. Peak during NCAA Tournament.

Teams like Belmont always gives the Lady Vols fits. The LV's don't take them seriously and don't work hard to get the best shots. They settle for outside shots and the game gets streaky but they pull it out in the end.

I think London is the only one on this team that blocks out. Everyone else is like block out be damned. It turns into a tip drill going for the rebound.

I hope and pray that noone outside the state of Tennessee is watching this game that has the Lady Vols in a freaking nailbiter against Belmont. BELMONT!!!

This was pitiful, that is the only way to discribe it. Not to be politically incorrect, but this was like a Chinese fire drill, especially in the second half. It is not unusual for teams to have lapses, it is the nature of the game, however, Holly needs to call timeouts before the wheels fall completely off. We are having problems defending the motion offense and leave the paint unprotected way too much. We are young, but need to play more in control. If we don't get our crap together, it will be a long hit and miss season. I do give the team some credit, because this could have been a major embarrassment.

Zay's shooting percentage is awful

If we played decent defense we would be tough to beat.

Good guards will be salivating to play us - Auburn

Question about timeouts - what would happen if one of our assistant coaches called time out to help stop a run? Do it and find out.

Belmont is a well coached team. Talent level is not even with Tennessee, but they all play as if they actually know what they are supposed to be doing, and they do it well.

Us? We have to out-talent teams.

What is bad is they sit over like they don't know what is going on half the time. Why don't they help her. Even Geno gets lots of help from his assistants. Chris Dailey should be a head coach for a top tier program.
