Some impressive stats (from Her Hoops Stats) to start the season:

- Rebounds/game: 54.2 (4th in the country, compared to 12th last year)
- Blocks/game: 8.2 (6th, compared to 196th)
- Block rate: 19.5% (7th, compared to 239th) -- Tamari Key is ranked 16th nationally
- Defensive rebounds/game: 36.2 (8th, compared to 70th)
- Opponent's points per scoring attempt: 0.69 (12th, compared to 209th)
- Opponent's FG%: 28.0% (16th, compared to 237th!)
- Offensive rebound rate: 45.9% (18th, compared to 7th)

Offensively, there's room for growth, but some promise, e.g. our assist rate is at 59.5% (103rd) compared to 50.4% (284th) last year.

All this info is great and all and we all love the Lady Vols, but when computation get stiffer it’s normally or makes the least mistakes will win. I love every minute of our win against Notre Damn but how many turn over did we have 29 or so? I would wanna more of where we stand against others in the following categories. Turnovers, Fouls, and missed free throws. But none the less go Vols!!!!

We have a .88 assist to turnover rate. That is a stat I hope we can get turned around.

The figure was .89 the year before, after the season; and .97 the year before that.

If the comparison is to the first four games from last year it is rather impressive. If the comparison is to the yearlong stats from last year it us rather meaningless. Which is it?
