Lady Vols Softball

I would hire Amanda Lorenz immediately. She brings notoriety and would make an immediate impact on the recruiting trail. Last but not least shes a young successful woman who is arguably one of the best hitters for average to play in the Sec.
And what is she doing at this time because i have no clue?

"a Tuesday afternoon twin bill against in-state foe Bellarmine"

hmmmm, I thought Bellarmine was in Louisville, KY --- a D-2 program last year, could be a couple of short games

I just looked at site and she is the volunteer assistant coach.
Right school, wrong Coach. If I'm making a move it is to get Aric Thomas. Almost the same journey/resume as Kenny Gajewski at OSU. Spent time in Knoxville under Serrano as the recruiting coordinator before leaving for Gainesville to be the asst. coach and RC there. Kenny was here for baseball ops position before joining Walton and now leading his own program.

We get plenty of people on base but we have to many hitter failing to get the big hit or even do anything with the bat to get a run across. We had enough baserunners in the first game versus LSU to win that game easily if someone comes through. When we got the homerun and then the double we suddenly had the four place hitter bunting which is strange to ever have a four spot hitter doing that. When she got hit by pitch we had the five spot hitter who was at the time hitting .471 bunting as well. I guess that might be the right way to play it not me my four and fives are never bunting.

He would be a good one to get. If the new AD stays loyal with his hires to UCF then Cindy Ball Malone would be a good one also. UCF’s programs on the rise and they run ruled us twice last year as I recall.

I'm not promoting a change after next season at all. If Ralph steps away which many believe he is, than I believe Karen will too. Coach Karen may have a contingency plan in place for coaching without him which is ideal. But between now and the end of next year too much can happen that will factor in. They are Tennessee Softball so my own thoughts are subjective in the view timing, SEC landscape now and moving ahead.

Yes i remember Aric well and had forgot where he is now days. Rather have him than Lorenz who is just a few years of playing. Not really paid her dues i think! Karen will not have someone like Aric but good thoughts anyway!

I agree on that part about Karen and I would only assume he is not leaving for a lateral position in the conference. If he leaves it's to be a HC.

I think a change in HC would be a good thing for the program. I'm sure I will be in <1% of fans but I think the Weekly's have topped out as recruiters and some of the on field moves makes you just shake your head. Have not been to a WS in a long time. Sometimes change is a good thing and I think for the LV's softball it is due for one.

I certainly agree that some of the on field decisions are often head scratchers!

Looks like Callie starting. If they pitch Ashley today I hope they work on pitching low. In the zone and pff speed.
