If they lose this home series to LSU and have to go on the road next week to Alabama who’s probably the best team IMO. UT could be 1-5 after next weekend. It will be interesting what the new AD does next year as the weekly’s bloated contracts expire next summer.

I think its to georgia but they or pretty good as well!

I watch teams like OU, UCLA, UF, etc. they hit the damn ball. They dominate . They are so far above us . We need new blood at the top.

LSU is a bad hitting team -- just as they usually are. But we have always floundered against average-to-good hitting. You can't expect to put one run up on the board and win. Those days in softball are long gone.

Alabama is not the best team....but you do you....and the weekly's are fine and not going anywhere....go back to the football forum

Well we are not at that level. One big difference is those team go up to hit wanting to do damage. We for years (Marc has helped) have gone to the plate fearing to fail. That has to change to get back to the top level.

We've been to the WCWS once since the Chavanne/Gibson/Renfroe/Shipman days, and we lost in the SR for the first time in school history when Ellen and Madi were seniors, after starting the season well (and sweeping eventual NC Florida) but ending very poorly. We haven't won a game at the WCWS since 2013 when we played for the NC. Getting to a SR is all well and good, but nobody's hanging a banner for making a SR. Like it or not, our success with Abbott and again with that group I mentioned set the bar high.

Also, with the recruiting classes we get, which have consistently ranked in the top 5 season after season, it's laughable to use the Super Regionals as the gauge for success. And you lauding that 'achievement' reminds me of the Holly fans that talked about how well we were doing for making the S16 and E8, when that clearly wasn't the standard for the program.

I feel bad for Rogers. She gave up 4 hits on 27 ABs (.148), had 11 Ks to no walks, and only gave up one earned run ... and was the losing pitcher.

By this logic and thinking Arizona should have gotten rid of Candrea but they did not....softball rankings are a crap shoot...before being fixed by coaches not looking at younger players and giving them time to develop....before you had to get the 7th, 8th, and sometimes 6th grader because they were the next best thing
