Lady Vols Recruiting Info

Hopefully the coaching staff is evaluating and recruiting the players and not evaluating and recruiting the players' rankings.

And I'm certain the coaching staff is now currently mortified that you have alerted them to their grievous follies! (snicker, snicker!)

Honestly, I will be very surprised if Nared doesn't commit to Tennessee. She has two good friends already on the team, and Tennessee has been recruiting her for a long time. Of Nared, White, Green, and Wilson, I would say there's a 90% chance Nared comes to Tennessee.

I agree mtsu..Nared is our best bet, followed by Green, White and Wilson..2 of those 4 would cap a great recruiting class for Tennessee. I think White also dropped UNC from her list, so that is good news for us fans. Of course, South Carolina could swoop down and get Wilson and White..That's ok though, as long as UCONN doesn't get em:rock:

I think Wilson is South Carolina's to lose at this point. No one really know what White is thinking. She has kept her recruitment very quiet, but has had officials to OSU, and will have one with us in October. I think she is a Tennessee lean, along with Nared. Green would be icing on the cake.

A class of Middleton, Dunbar, Green, White, and Nared would be a HAUL for Holly's second recruiting class.

ESPNW has just their updated rankings for the 2014 class, and Jamie Nared has jumped to the #5 ranked player in the class! Wilson is still the #1 player in their ranking. I agree with TN being extremely high on Nared's list, and it's being said that it'll come down to TN and Cal for Greene. Who knows where Wilson and White will land. Some are saying they'll both end up at S. Carolina. I've also seen where N. Carolina is out on both Wilson & White's list, but that's coming from a source w an "inside source." I don't think that they will both end up at Tenn, but they have made SEVERAL unofficials to Knoxville. I do have a better feeling about our chances with White than Wilson.

One thing to note is that Green has grown from 6'1" to almost 6'3" tall if she so she could be growing into a forward position. So taking both Nared and Green would be no problem because Green is growing into a forward.

I hope CHW can lure Wilson, White and Green to go along with Middleton and Dunbar. I have a feeling, like most, that Wilson will go toward SC or UConn who's become a late bloomer on Wilson's list, so I've heard. I like Wilson as a guard in our system. So im hoping the staff is making the shooting guard pitch to her! They have to be!! Especially if we can get White to go behind Graves, Harrison and our Mercedes! Nared I feel is our "safe recruit". Everyone expects her to sign with UT because of Reynolds and Mercedes, but who really knows? If we can get Green, who's apparently grown to 6'3 I would be very excited! It all depends on if she wants to stay home or roam afar. LOL. Although we have Ariel and Carter, I would still like CHW to sign a point guard in this class just to gain some experience behind the two ladies. I really like Cueves because she is a fiery guard, with a little attitude and I would like to really see what CHW is about in her development. I really believe CHW and co. are underrated. Is Cueves really 5'6? Heard she's more like 5'4?? Middleton is a 2-guard and I hope CHW only uses her at the point guard in practice. Her and Dunbar should be competing for time behind Reynolds next year. Dunbar can also see some time behind Burdick at the sf position next year if CHW wants to spread the floor. I see what they're doing and most posters on the OTHER boards are laughing because Dunbar was ranked so low, but her stroke from behind the arc will show them once she gets to Tennessee! Cant wait for the 2013-2014 season to start, NOT TO MENTION THE FUTURE OF THE LADY VOLS PROGRAM!

Yea I heard Calvert is down to USC, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Winthrop where her sister plays. I hope the other Cooper can snatch her up. Would love to see both Sc and Ucla succeed.

According to ESPN Hoopgurlz Wilson hasn't eliminated Tennessee were still in her final five. Same for White were in her final six. Then there is Jamie Nared and Gabby Green. If we were to get two of these four players would be a great class.

Hoopgurlz hasn't updated the school list in a LONG time. It's my understanding that A'ja hasn't come up with a top five list or anything "officially" yet. She does plan on taking all 5 official visits, and is reported to be on official visit in Knoxville the weekend of Oct. 5. We are in the final lists of Nared and Green. White is supposed to be on her OV the same weekend as Wilson. Jatarie has been on several unofficial visits to UT as has Wilson. I don't think Wilson will end up in Knoxville, but I do think there's a good chance with the others.

Nared is coming on her official next weekend, the 26th.

White, Green, and Middleton (committed) will make their officials on October 5th.

Wilson was scheduled to come on the 5th, but has the college entrance exam that day, but is rescheduling her official. It could possibly be in January.

So Wilson isn't signing during the early signing period in November??? Many on here say that she is leaning to SC. If she delays until April to sign, does that portend good things for one of her other finalists?

Having Tennessee as one of Nurse's final 5 colleges is amazing! I would definitely throw all the cards at Nurse and try to get her to Knoxville if she's as good as advertised. This girl will be playing in Rio for Canada in 2016, plus she has size. Can't remember the last time Tennessee had a point guard above 5'9...was it Hornbuckle? I'd love to have 3 of these 5 interested athletes: Nurse, Wilson, White, Green, or Nared, to go along with Middleton and Dunbar. I also heard Geno has a big interest in Nurse. She's a facilitator and scorer with size. I think she would fit well in Tennessee because she can play both guard positions.

I wasn't real sure that we were aiming for a point guard in this class and now looks obvious that we are. It also seems to note that Middleton will be a two guard in college. We need one more really solid three point shooter and a super inside player and the team of 2014 would seem to have all the pieces to the puzzle for a National title.

We will need a PG in this class or next, and let's not forget that Asia Durr is the top player in 2015, and is a scoring PG. Personally, I would rather we go hard after her. That being said, if Nurse wants to come to Tennessee, come on down Kia!!

We had a 6'2" point guard just a few years ago in Shekinna Stricklen--albeit somewhat reluctantly and out of necessity.

Updated to add Canadian Senior National team member and point guard, Kia Nurse. Tennessee has made the list as one of her final five (list includes - Kentucky, Penn State, Indiana UConn and Tennessee). Tennessee coaches are scheduled to have an in-home visit with her and her family next week.

Recruiting heating up for Nurse
