We currently have 12 players on scholarship including cooper. We lose Wilson, Cuevas-Moore, and Grad Transfer Lindsey Spann. That would leave us at 9 players for 2018-19. We could take 6 in this class but I think the ideal number would be 4.
Thank you. I was going to look it up, then I thought you might know.
Did you see Dawn's tweet about "To Whom It May Concern"? (Player/Recruit contact) Any idea on who that was directed to? Was very pointed to be out of nowhere.
I would think it was Semrau (though no one was mentioned). Semrau made a comment about player's personally contacting recruits. Nelson-Ododa and Wilson were on snap chat working out in a gym together and I guess Semrau found out and took offense to it.
She can't take offense many of these girls have played together or against each other for years, some even have become friends so if they want to work out in a gym together is that really a problem?
I can see how to some it may seem like the coaches put the players up to do it but players want to play with the best so many of them will reach out to each other on their own, every program does it imo
Exactly, I guess she's saying it isn't a fair recruiting tool. I honestly think she should be happy with all that talent she landed this summer! She wants ONO badly and is doing everything in her power to complete that great class.
I certainly haven't heard any complaints about players helping with recruiting. I for one think it's great ONO and Wilson train together, If she happens to commit to SC, she'll likely takes Aja's place. So she'll need all the training and advice she can get.

I would guess it has something to do with recruiting as Dawn and Sue recruit the same states, especially Florida and Georgia.Semrau is a DIRTY recruiter and is known to take negative recruiting to new heights. When SC won the natty and Dawn and A'ja where on twitter going on about "people saying you can't win at SC" and things similar.. a lot of that was directed at Semrau. For some reason Semrau is not a fan of Dawn/SC..

Will williams and decosta wait and see how this season plays out with the teams they have on their list before they decide?
I know this is a big if, but what if Tennessee has a really strong year and make it back to the final four, could that sway their decision to tennessee?
Damn if sc gets decosta, williams AND ododa..geez in addition to cooper and that top 10 recruit they already have committed.
Interesting I thought in her last blog it said she's been training and rehabbing daily in Athens, GA
Not Williams according to this article in May:

Summer is too busy to take visits, so I will take all of my officials in the fall, and I will commit before my high school season starts, she said.
Williams and DeCosta visits South Carolina on 9/22
And they visit UT on 9/29..... Williams has Tex on 10/6 and Uconn on 10/13....???? DeCosta has Baylor on 10/6 Then a decision? From both going together or separated??
Williams schedule was SC on 9/15 but changed to go with DeCosta. Is she visiting someone this weekends??
Ododa visits real quiet??? Can Dawn get all three???
Even though Williams and Decosta may plan to go to the same school, it is possible that they are swayed to different schools after the visits.
Decosta will probably get some major minutes her freshman year wherever she goes, but what about Williams?

Williams is the #1 player in the class. I don't think she'll have a problem finding minutes, even if she's coming off the bench, unless she goes to UConn.

That may very well be the reason she won't go to UConn. The staff there isn't going to let anyone see the floor before they are ready regardless of rank out of HS. They do not like to see anyone embarrass themselves or the school. Frankly, since they play a read and react system on offense almost no one is starting their freshman year @ UConn unless they have to due to depth issues.
IMO she isn't a must have for UConn but she may be for some other schools. This is however I believe the second recruit recently that Dawn has gotten in there top 5 really late. I wonder if she actually lands this one. I mean for a kid to change it and book it that late leads me to believe she probably wouldn't go there but who knows. Teenage girls are a mystery.
I like our chances to land both Williams and DeCosta, I believe ONO will land at SC, I dont see all 3 going there!
I think SC got in late because of the relationship Williams and her family developed with Coach Law and with Law being at SC I could see her and her family giving them a shot!
I truly think the 2 of them want to play together (based on their 3on3 Olympic win) and having been coached by Kara Lawson during their time at those games the UT tradition and what it is like to be a Lady Vol was discussed and it will be reality (imo) when they visit together and see that everything shared in those conversations were true!
Why not they all play different positions and SC has minutes for all 3 from day 1. SG, SF, and Center positions all are open. Williams also decided to give SC another shot not only because of Law but Ty Harris as well. She said practicing and playing with Harris in the U19 championships this year allowed them to build a bond. She said Harris is a great pg and would love to play with her again. I wonder which players did she bond with the most? Hopefully it's SC because we need a player of her caliber!
