Lady Vols Recruiting Info

For 2018, Texas will need to replace 4-year starter, 5'11 SG Ariel Atkins. She could actually slide to SF this season.

Returning guards for 2018 will be:

PG - Alecia Sutton (jr) and Chasity Patterson (Soph)
SG - 5'9 Lashann Higgs (sr) and 5'9 Destiny Littleton (Soph)
Wings: 5'11 Jada Underwood (Jr)

Not sure we are a serious player for Christyn Williams as she dropped us from consideration a few months ago, and then recently added us back. I'd say we're probably behind her other 5 finalists. She is so talented that I could see her winning a starting job at either SG or SF.

Thank you for the breakdown... I know we have been in the hunt for Christyn since she was a 9th a grader... I know she has made multiple unofficial visits to TN. I know we have been in her top since she had top 15. I never knew she took us out as we kept being in her top when she cut her list. It should be interesting !

You won't like my answer, but Nalyssa Smith seems to be enamored with Dawn Staley and South Carolina. I think it's either USC or Baylor for her. Staley is also apparently after two other Texans -- Zarielle Green out of Duncanville, and Joanne Allen-Taylor out of the Houston area.

I think Zarielle is likely to land at A&M; not sure about Allen-Taylor.

Damn, if South Carolina lands Ododa and Smith they will be good.

I may be wrong, but I think Southie is a Texas fan and was talking about Williams and Texas and not Tennessee being dropped from her list.

Thanks for the info Southie. Boothe should be a nice addition for Texas. With the roster this year, they could make a final4.

Do you think Smith will go outside Texas?

Rellah Boothe will go the Junior College route because of her grades from what I herd.

That was pure rumor and lies started by a Baylor fan, I believe.

Rellah enrolled at Texas in early June for the first summer session. Second summer session begins on Monday.

Yep, they already a have a top 10 committ for 2018. A NC works wonders for recruitment..

Not really blaming her, but did you see Dawn's tribute to Pat on the anniversary of her passing?

She was standing with the National Championship trophy in front of a huge oil painting of herself.

I'm sure Pat was impressed from Heaven.

I would like for Tennessee to get a player like Boothe and Patterson- Notre Dame. We may have that type player in A. Collins, but not sure

Our goal is to get two more five star players and if Jessika Carter wants to come she should be welcome believe her to be a much underrated player.
The point being no matter who SC signs if we get two more five star players in this class to go with the two already we will have a roster as good as their roster next season. They will be young and so will we but we will certainly be able to compete if Holly can coach.
Holly did a lot better before Diamond and Cooper so this year is to see if she can return to better seasons or if we need to replace her.

Didn't Pat spend most of her life working to increase opportunities for women? I would think she'd be very pleased to see another female go from player to coach and win a title.

What's her name?
What's her height?
What's her stats?
What's her recruiting class?

Sydni Lollar, 5-11 guard who averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals per game last year...3x all-stater...class of '18.

Coach Reaves is very active on Twitter and often tells people to DM her when it involves prospects. That may be a good way to get
to inform her about the prospect. Hopefully if she is really good they have been in contact with her, her coaches, or family.

Okay, I admit it. I just lurked @ Ms Lollar's twitter page.

What a fun, beautiful and well rounded young lady. plays tennis also.

whether or not she is a 5 star recruit or not, she would be a prize for any university.

sign her up, Holly! :)

Collins look fairly good on that skills video--but she releases the ball too low on her jump shot; the other girl, too. You have to start your shot motion with the ball higher, and then release the ball at a point //above your head//. They are shooting quasi set shots with a lower release point. That is how shots get blocked.
