Lady Vols Recruiting Info

She should have won more with Griner. If that had been Holly, she would have been hella criticized. She has had skilled players the last few years but no final four.

I know I am not the only that saw that game versus Louisville in the Final Four. They got cheated bad at the end and that's taking a lot out of me to admit. Because I can't stand Baylor and especially the coach. I do like Nina but only because she's from my area and I got to watch her play a few times

You right about that one. They would have beat Uconn for the title that year hence there wouldn't been a four peat for them.

She really liked Georgia Tech hopefully we change that to Tennessee.

Maybe it will come down to who she feels has the best program for her major or perhaps she would like to be in the middle of a big city like Atlanta.

With Ursin going to Baylor, any chance the coaching staff would go after C. Carter? She has a lot of schools listed. I know we have 2 point guards for next year, but 3 point guards would not seem like a stretch considering our luck with injuries.

Carter is down to two schools

Carter is down to Texas A&M & Kansas if I am not mistaken

You were definitely the only person to see it because it wasn't a FF game. Give credit where it is due they beat Baylor in the S16... say what you want about the fouls but if you give up 16 made 3 pointers @ 64% from 3 you probably are gonna lose.

They then went on to beat Tennessee in the E8 & Cal in the FF. They didn't just beat 1 team they weren't suppose to they beat a bunch to get to the title game which was the second time Walz has done that in his relatively short tenure.

Mulkey's problem as of late is she makes her teams overly reliant on 1 player & doesn't test them enough with scheduling and that's why they lost in the E8 the past few years even though they have had really talented rosters. She did it with Griner, Sims, and most recently with Niya.

best part of that game was Shoni taking it right at ole man Griner for that fantastic layup. Loved it, :)

Yup she always schedules the weakest schedule possible unless she has a dominant team then she schedules all the tough non-conference games.

She has been around long enough to know how to play the scheduling game with the committee. She knows she can get away with it because of the RPI for the B12... That being said she likely is perfectly fine with getting the 2 seed in the tourney because if you have the talent getting a 2 instead of a 1 won't make much difference in competition usually.

I know some Baylor fans think the scheduling is why they are not increasing their attendance numbers the way they want to. It could be that Kim ripping her clothes off is scaring some fans away. I'm sure she makes calls to get some good teams out there but when it seems like you are dodging people in years you feel like you don't have a distinct advantage I could see why no one would pick up the phone.

Here is hoping that we get one of the three remaining targets. Regardless, next year could be a better year especially if Diamond sticks around.

The sobering part is 2018-19. We could end up with 6 players with experience and a bunch of freshmen.

Hopefully Davis and Onyerwere will make a decision this week so that we can move on.

Yup when she had Griner she would play any and everybody. When Griner left she started being very selective in who she'd play and most of the teams she selected was teams she knew that she had a really good shot of beating. Unlike the Geno's, Pat's, Muffet's, Dawn's and Tara's, They play whoever wants to play them.

Although u was a smart ass about it u are right about the sweet 16 and so on. But most of those 3's came in the 1st half and down the stretch Baylor most definitely dug themselves out the hole and the refs screwed them over. I am not a fan of either team so I have no reason to be bias. So all that giving credit B.S. u can miss me with it. But we can agree to disagree and that is fine with me.

Because most of the talent is in other states now prime example Amira Collins who is ranked 27th in her class (2018) family relocated to the DC area following Hurricane Katrina and she grew up a huge LSU fan and they aren't on her list (at least as of right now), there are several others who have left and they aren't returning/parents wont allow them to return

First of all you folks do know that parents and recruits do read this blog. Amira Collins who is #8 on prospect Nation has not put out a list yet because she wants to keep her recruiting private. ESPN did a great article on her but hoopgurlz hasnt updated her profile since july 2015 so please lets get away from rankings.

Ok, nothing I said was harmful to her or her family in anyway, if you read in context of the conversation and didn't just stumble upon that fact. I have seen her play several times in person and knows she's a damn good player and definitely one of the top players in the country. And most posters in here knows that ESPN is lagging with updated information but at the same time its free which is why a lot of people refer to it as oppose to paying a monthly subscription to Prospect Nation. More power to her and her family and I wish her and them nothing but the best on her journey toward selecting the school that is best for her but again nothing I said about her was derogatory in anyway I was using her to make a statement about how the talent that was once in Louisiana is now in other parts of the country due to Hurricane Katrina, that is it, that is all but thanks for the reminder. I will consider it even further next time!

@Mindsay you're good, nothing you said about her was harmful I am talking about the things that are said about the program and its not just you. I think this forum should be used to say the good things so when parents like me read it the comments are positive. I think you guys could help the program more by doing that.

Just my two cents

I agree and many of us have tried to do that, especially lately but it seems as though some just refuse too and I am not an administrator and can't kick anyone out but I totally agree.

Extremely ....
But In 5 minutes, we could easily give you all the names to put on your ignore list who bring nothing but hate towards players and coach's :) That's what we do. Unfortunately this board does recognize the 1st amendment. But anywhere you go, if you have success, it will bring out people who are against you. We have a couple that are wolves in sheep clothing that write on volnation. Please know that 99.9% that do talk on here are actual fans who do bleed orange!!!
