Chill out people, you act like we have landed scrubs this year. Apparently it being a Catholic school was big for her. Nothing Holly or anyone can do about that

Well it's a familiarity thing... If you are use to catholic schools all your life and like them a catholic college may be the way to go. When they posted that article about her father overcoming a fear of flying just to go with her to Notre Dame I figured she was going there.

You don't just overcome a life long fear for a maybe school. Cool that he was able to do that for his daughter but TN has KK already anyway and I thought she was the one they really wanted to begin with. I thought people were looking at Patterson as a bonus.

Not that people can't be disappointed but I don't think there is major cause for concern at this point.

FYI McKinney is no loss

It's a loss of time and effort if it could have been directed elsewhere. Now whether you think she is valuable or not is your business but it if Holly & CO as you say are trying as hard as you keep proclaiming to calm those who are concerned down, there was definitely a loss of time and effort. Just like every other team in the nation that casts a wide net you will loose more recruiting battles than you will win.

My point is there is a reason TN didn't put much effort into her, including Elzy when she was still at TN

The biggest winner of the Danielle Patterson commitment (besides ND) might be Cheridene Green. With Nunn out, I imagine she'll see a lot of time on court in 2017-18. Tennessee will still have plenty of size, especially if Russell stays for her final year of eligibility.

Is Davis more of a 4 or a 3? And is her visit this weekend actually confirmed?

Maybe Danielle just read this board and saw her favorite Candace Parker get attacked during the playoffs and figured if TN fans turn on the player that was huge on getting us the last 2 championships then why would I go there?

Honestly I am sure she had good reasons to pick Notre Dame that aren't dramatic and there is no reason to blame anyone.

We lost commits to Duke, Stanford, Notre Dame! I do not blame anyone for going to these schools! I wish my kids had this opportunity! I do not understand Dana going to Louisville when she will struggle for playing time??:crazy:

Gule is noted for his tongue in cheek comments. He keeps all of us on our toes as he is an equal opportunity poster. Now,as to calling out posters,your opinion is just that. Any recruit that would be scared away by fan talk is not worth being recruited. As other posters have said,we want recruits who want to be here.

Completely agree except for Duke just because I think the coach is so bad even though the education is so good.

The reason I said it that way is to underscore that even when Elzy was still here and she was the RECRUITING coordinator, she didn't recruit KeKe hard. McKinney is not the level of player I want TN to focus on. It's that simple.

Michaela O. is being awfully quiet. Girl, go ahead and set a date to announce.

I say Westbrook goes to ND with Patterson and Walker goes to Texas and hopefully becomes an instant star for her father.

R. Davis goes to Georgia Tech if she wants to pile up stats, but almost zero chance of a final 4 or pick UT and have decent stats and an opportunity to make at least one final 4 in her career. Or who knows she could pick KU or OK, but probably not Maryland(that would surprise me).
