Lady Vols Recruiting Info

The article is written by a Louisville scout.com writer. So, I'm sure they'll make it seem like Louisville is the favorite. Louisville is loaded at all positions and I could be very wrong, but I just can't see her going there with Asia Durr and other guards getting majority of the guards minutes. I believe Taja Cole transferred because she could see the writing on the wall.

Will she be making an official visit to Tennessee after the unofficial visit timing didn't work out? It seems like the battle for her services will come down to ND and Tennessee. Tennessee really wants and needs her compared to ND who is already stacked. Hopefully she will choose orange in November.

ND is in no way stacked at her position.

ND is in no way stacked at her position.

She would have Kathryn Westbeld and Erin Boley ahead of her at the 4 position whereas Tennessee will have the 4 position wide open. Nunn will be gone. Dunbar is really a 3 trying to playing a stretch 4 occasionally.

To me that doesn't seem like a stacked post situation it actually seems like a normal rotation. Keep in mind ND plays with 2 forwards on the floor 95% of the time.

She would get minutes if she earned them. Westbeld and Turner would be seniors and depending on how good she is Muffett could literally just sub Westbeld and Turner out for Boley & Patterson or mix and match those pairs. ND likes to get up and down the floor. I can't see her not getting atleast 15-18 minutes a game if she is ready for that level of play.

However, I guess if TN has nothing at the moment it may look appealing to just come in and start.

Why don't we just recruit some division 3 talent. Couple 6'6 guys and pay them to go transgender. Seems to be the fad these days. Our front court would dominate.

Yes she will be making officials to ND and Tennessee in September. She's making an unofficial to SJU on Tuesday.

Is she one of the girls coming on the FL football weekend? I know about 3 or 4 are coming that weekend and one of them is Anastasia Hayes. No clue who the rest are.

Some visits had to be changed so that family members can make the trip i.e. Momma. When Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

Hayes and LaDazia Williams are visiting on 9/24.

Dodson, KK, and Westbrook are visiting on 9/17.

Lots of others have confirmed they will be visiting but dates haven't been confirmed yet.

Great! Why do so many UGA fans believe KK will be in red when it is all said is done? Is she really a UGA lean? After seeing video clips of KK and Dodson this summer on the AAU circuit, I want them both. Just imagine a frontcourt rotation of Green, Russell and KK. I hope the staff is selling this vision to her. And my goodness Dodson will be a match up nightmare. At 6'2" with her athleticism, she could really excel at the midrange game. Coach Reeves work on the moms!

Also, do we have a realistic chance of landing Westbrook or Williams or is this a thank you for recruiting me visit?

The school is allowed to pay for lodging, transportation, meals, and entertainment. That includes (1) round-trip transportation (rental car or airfare) for the student-athlete between home (or high school) and the campus, (2) you (and your parents) may receive 3 meals per day and (3) complimentary admissions to campus athletics events. According to this, why would you not take the official visit?

I think we have a legitimate chance at all the players visiting. Westbrook will probably either be Tennessee or stay home on the West coast. Seems were in a battle with Notre Dame for Patterson and Dodson and Ole Miss and Vandy for the Tennessee players.
The worry time will come about two weeks after the visit if the player hasn't committed. So around October 1st we'll know a lot more than we do now.

I'm no recruiting expert.. but I do follow along closely, and not just for SC, other schools as well. Here's my opinion..

What are our odds or chances of getting the players below? Anyone? Who are our main competition for the player?

Rellah Boothe 6'1" F (FL) - I think she's Maryland's to lose

Evina Westbrook 6'0" G/W (OR) - I don't think she leaves the West Coast, but if she does then I think Megan Walkers decision could come in play here. If Walker chooses ND, that could push her towards a Tennessee or even SC, but Tennessee has a history of getting players from the Northwest, so I give you all the nod.

Keondra McKinney 6'1" F (TN) - don't follow her close enough

Kasiyahna Kushkituah 6'3" C (GA) - I think you have a good shot here.

LaDazhia Williams 6'2" F (FL) - She's really hard to read, but a lot of factors are pushing her to stay in state.

Danielle Patterson 6'3" F (NY) - I think she's Tennessee's to lose

Maya Dodson 6'2" W/F (GA) - Stanford, with Notre Dame being next, closeness to home is a strong selling point of Tennessee

Cara Ursin 5'7" PG (LA) - Baylor wouldn't surprise me here but Tennessee is probably in a better position than people think, but she wants to be relatively closer to home.

Anastasia Hayes 5'7" PG (TN) - I actually think she leaves Tennessee, possibly Ole Miss or Kentucky, but we'll see. I actually like SC for her if we don't get Chennedy Carter

Dorie Harrison 6'3" F (TN) - Tennessee's to lose

Eleah Parker 6'3" P (NC) - You all have a good chance here, but the NC schools are putting on a full court press for her.

Michaela Onyenwere 5'11" - not sure

Dana Evans 5'7" PG - I think she's Tennessee's to lose, she's your pg of the future

Chasity Patterson 5'5" PG (TX) - didn't she commit already?
