Some of you people need to just sit down and be quiet - seriously! You get on this board and continuously complain like you have some insight into the Lady Vol program. Since Pat announced her illness, the LV program has been an Elite 8 program. That's not the new standard that's just a fact. However, since Pat's illness, there has not been one year that a key player on the team has not gone down with an injury, but you people all know that because you are "supposedly" LV fans. Could there have been better recruiting - Definitely - so Holly made changes. Before knowing Carter had such a serious knee problem that it would cause her to step away from a sport she obviously loves, I often heard people criticize her for regressing or Holly's coaching in regards to Carter's play - well now you know the truth but you still don't give Holly credit for getting a depleted team to an Elite 8. Andraya being gone will hurt this year's team along with the loss of Te'a for the season. But let's see how the Lady Vols responds to another year of adversity due to injury and how the revamped staff coaches and recruits before you "fans" trash the coach, players and season before they even play an exhibition game!!!

When did she ever have Tennessee on her list? i also never saw her name in the list of players for 2018 in this thread.

We have been unbelievably unlucky with injuries--every year, more injuries. It is crazy. I feel like the program just lost its mojo a decade ago and cannot get it back. I mean, concussions, russell's feet, izzy blows out her knee, carter and cooper; we sign a player who needs knee surgery! One thing after another.

With one more significant injury (very possible with a depleted lineup), I might be inclined to agree with you. As it is, this is the first time EVER we go into a season with a roster that isn't at least a lock to make the NCAA tournament...

Vaughn signing has absolutely no affect on Danielle Patterson. Vaughn is a in the paint post players. Danielle is a stretch 4 who can also play the 3.

That is not true Vaughn is a 4 player that can step out and hit mid range and compete down low ..but I Dont think it affects her decision

Here is my guess for the class hope I am right.

Anastasia Hayes, Maya Dodson, Danielle Patterson, Keondra McKinney, and KK. I think Boothe ends up at Maryland and have no idea about Harrison who may pick us or Vandy. Other possibles are Evans and Westbrooks although I think Westbrooks stays in Oregon.

We certainly need five freshmen to come in with Green as we'll have six leaving after next season.

We need Evans also. If she was on this roster now she would get plenty of playing time and might even start at the 1 or 2. She can light it up and get to the rim. If we can get both Hayes and Evans to go along with Cooper our backcourt will be very very good for years to come.

Is that really your guess or is it your wish list? If Tennessee gets those additional 4 players to commit, then that would be a huge boon for the Lady Vols and probably the #1 rated class in the land. And what balance! However, there is no shooting guard there, which is something Holly needs. Especially one with range to the arc, as you need to keep the paint uncluttered on offense. Dodson is more of a W, and Patterson is a 3/4.

Dana Evans is an amazing talent, but I think she is awfully short to play the 2. I think that would only work with a tall PG who could play the 2 on defense, so Dana could guard the opposing PG.

I would love a 2 guard who could light it up from the outside. O how is wish things would have worked out differently for Ms. Tucker!

Wish and guess as were in good shape with all these players. Everyone has us in their top five I believe hopefully seeing the roster as it will be in a couple years will make the difference for most of them.

I don't know what is the deal with Evans Prospects Nation does not even list her as being in a High School. That might just be a mistake but it is certainly a concern until they correct it. Plus I think her list is still around twelve teams so I want get excited until she narrows that list to about five and were still on it.

Dana Evans goes to West Side Leadership Academy it shows on her HoopzGurl profile and her USA Basketball profile. she did narrow it to nine but then added Tennessee and Vanderbilt but these eight are the schools listed on her USA profile DePaul, Indiana, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Tennessee, UCLA and Vanderbilt.
