Well, of course it will be a major disappoint if we don't get McCoy. Not sure why she's going to usc if her mind is made up--just another free trip, I suppose; why turn down an opportunity to be fawned over for a couple of days.

I doubt she visits USC honestly.

History has shown the later you are in the order of a recruit's visits, the better. We are Tennessee though!

Hopefully the South Carolina add is just Tori doing due diligence.

Is McCoy the last egg in the basket? No 3 or 4 stars? Is this the first time the Lady Vols have gone empty handed in recruitment? I read an old article from 2014 in which Holly planned to sign five people for 2016. She further stated that because of the Lady Vols roster it was difficult to bring some players on board.

Hopefully McCoy see's that she is needed at Tennessee and that she will be a impact player....OSU is loaded at the post so is SC.. so who knows at this point

SC will not be as loaded next year with White, Coates and Wilson. All three will be upperclassmen when McCoy would join them.

OSU on the other hand returns 8 frontcourt players next year and their 3 top returners would have 2 years left along with another post being a sophomore.

We have Russell and... 3 wing/forward hybrids. Unless we add a JUCO of course, which I think will be a must.

I'm glad she has decided to sign early so we'll know where stand and can try to figure if there are any JUCO post players that can help us in 2016. Very obvious we are the best choice as far as immediate playing time. Sometimes closer to home is better which is Ohio State if she doesn't mind waiting for playing time. SC don't really understand farther from home and she would be mostly a sitter the first season.

It was either McCoy or nobody and it looks about 90% certain that the ship has sailed. I would not anticipate there being any players for 16 coming in. We will not take a player who will probably never hit the floor. We are all in for 17 and 18 and while early rumors are really good its hard to put a lot of stock in this staff's ability to consistently recruit elite players.

I think it will be the first time in the history of Tennessee basketball that we recruited nobody in a class. I think we'll get one player as were in on a couple more that are not post players other than McCoy. I think we'll look at a JUCO post if she goes elsewhere. We have plenty of scholarship for 2017 and we'll only have 10 players if no one signs in this class.
That falls to eight the next season so I expect we'll look at a JUCO.

If she can't see it then something is wrong with her vision. With Graves and Moore leaving there is a chance she could start at the 4 next season, I don't think she has the chance to start anywhere else she goes imo (besides probably Illinois or a Marquette) at SC she would sit behind White and Wilson for 2 years (If she plays the 4) and 1 year behind Coates (If she plays the 5), Ohio State is loaded in the post and many of their post players (if not freshman) will also have 2 seasons left to play ahead of her

OSU should be full now. 15 players . 2 Graduating, 2 singees in Lewis and Caretti. How are they going to sign McCoy? I think She is Tennessee's to lose with my Gamecocks having one desperate shot to convince her not to be a Lady Vol.
