Lady Vols Recruiting Info

The Lady Vols have an incredible post for at least the next couple of years.

Every year can't be a five star year. The key is next year, not this year.

Really excited about this year; this team.

There are several 4 star post that we might want to look at. I don't think that if you can't recruit a 5 star you do not show interest in a good 4 star with upsides. Next year's recruit is not a lock. There are 5-4 stars that have not been signed by anyone.

1. Blessing Ejiofar 6'4"
2. Felicia Alyeotah 6'9"
3. Emily Sullivan 6'4"
4. I'llyah Groes 6'3"
5. Jaiden McCoy 6'2" (from Knoxville)

I would certainly take a serious look at any 4 star over 6'3". You can't teach height so I would take a serious look at Felicia Alyeotah. We would have a year to work with her. There have been 4 stars that have played very well at the D1 level.

Blue Star stills have Felicia Aiyeotan at # 3, but the other has drop her, don't know why.

That is wonderful because she had at least 10 in-home visits lined up! A LOT of people were after her, and her stock is going to rise for sure!

tall! if you watched the Italian trip the LVols played several teams who had big, tall and very slow tall players with limited skills. Do you know how many tall men players there are (at that the Vols have had recently) who were tall and thats all.

"several teams" ? how about 3, with only 2 games available to be seen online

The competition in Italy wasn't stellar but then the Lady Vols were also working under extremely limited practice time, travel concerns, and played a limited roster with lots of experimenting of personnel.

You can't really place any valid facts about the team to what was seen in Italy other than we have the most eye candy team in Merica. :)

6'3 F/W has her Top 4 schools:

ND
Tennessee
Virginia
St. John's

A year or so ago she stated her two favorites were Tennessee and UConn. UConn never offered... She would fit in well with a class of Dodson and Kasi. 2 versatile wing/forwards to go with a true post in Kasi. My dream class for 2017 with a guard to top in off... of course the following year Christyn Williams is a must get and she is also already considered a Tennessee lean as is Charli Collier. Those two are considered at least top 5 in 2018. We need to get McCoy and possibly Dasia Evans for 2016 to make sure we are okay in the frontcourt for next season but looking ahead we could be lined up for some pretty spectacular talent.

I know the Cameroun game is on YouTube, but you say there are two of the Italian games available online? Can you point me in the direction of where the other game can be found. I would like to watch it. Thanks

Any idea why she is waiting until December? Is she wanting to attend a game? Or is it just a matter of needing a little more time to decide?

Jim

McCoy visited OSU this weekend.

I'm feeling less optimistic about landing McCoy after the past few weeks. We may still get her, but I would not be at all surprised if OSU got her.

If she visits South Carolina, I will feel a little bit better about Tennessee getting her. If she doesn't visit any additional schools, she is likely to OSU. I can explain more after she commits.

Well that's disheartening to hear.

After reading the aforementioned article about her,my expectation dropped that she would be a Lady Vol. Thanks,Raider, for your insight. Are there noteworthy Juco posts available that we might land? I seem to remember you might have mentioned this possibility before. If so,who are the most prominent? And do you have any thoughts on why these high caliber posts continue to go elsewhere? Especially now that a good one should get some immediate playing time in 2016?

So if we don't get her we have spent 1 million dollars this year and got no one.

I have always suspected that she was looking for a reason not to come to Tennessee. Most players really ambitious to join your program commit and sign in November. We lose Moore and Graves. I feel like Jones can take over for Graves but we do need a couple backups and they shouldn't be Dunbar or Nared because they just can't handle a big strong four player on defense.
We'll get some top players in 2017 want help us in 2016.

Coaching staff will have to find a way to get some posts or we will be in trouble. We could play small but we will be in trouble when we play the likes of South Carolina and Baylor.
