I read where McCoy high school coach told her when she got hurt that she would find out who really wanted her, she looked up in the stands and Holly was there even thow she was not playing and she said that will go a long way in her dection.

All I'm going to say is that Holly has recruited McCoy the right way, and it has paid off. McCoy knows how much Tennessee wants her. She is their #1 priority IMO.

She is going to wait until April to sign, but that doesn't mean she will wait until April to commit.

This weekend went very well on all fronts (other than the football team blowing it again)

My only worry is her waiting until April to sign.

Even though it's a longshot, Tennessee did make Deauzya "DiDi" Richards top 11 schools list (that she released a couple of days ago).

Baylor, Kansas, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Houston

This is a bigger long shot than Joyner Holmes was. Richards is going to Texas. Why she is stringing these other schools along is beyond me.

Has to be the perks that she will get by taking the official visits since there is no limit on how many official or unofficial visits you can take. But yes for her to have Houston on her list tells me she is not leaving the state of Texas and that the Longhorns will be where she ends up!

It seems like the Football team always loses when recruits visit! But I think we will get her too, I just wish she informs us slightly after Cox makes her decision, I understand waiting until April to sign but can we get a verbal like right around thanksgiving lol! (Wishful Thinking)

You can only take five official visits per NCAA rules.

You can take as many unofficial as you want, as your family is paying for them.

She won't verbal until December/January at earliest.

Just curious, anybody noticed Chastity Carter's stock tumbled? Now ranked in the 40's, was considered a top ten. I remember some people on here going nutz that we didn't land her. She is still a very talented girl, and you can't believe everything you read online with these ratings.

Anybody have news on Jensen Caretti?

I don't think Caretti will be visiting Tennessee. I think she's on an official visit to Ohio State this weekend and I wouldn't be surprise if that is where she lands since Ohio is her home state. I doubt we land her, but things can always change. We are loaded on the perimeter and who we have interested in the 17 and 18 classes, I will not be that worried. Mikayla Combs and Christyn Williams are very very good guards. Williams will cause mismatches at 5'10". Give Te'a Cooper time to adjust to the college game and she will be wreaking havoc on both sides of the ball.

I think both young ladies had very good visits. I am hoping we can land Lewis because she is a very good point guard and that will be big with having Cooper and Lewis as Reynolds will be a senior next season. But Texas A&M and Georgia may have more playing time at the pg spot right away than Tennessee. I don't know what the staff is selling her, but early playing time may not be one. All of the top teams are stacked at almost every position. I guess if she wants early playing time she may go to one of her other finalist. To be honest we may end up with only one maybe two recruits for this class. But I do expect a big signing class next season. I'm hoping it is headlined by KK, Mikayla Combs and Maya Dodson. The state of Georgia is loaded for the 2017 class.

Both KK & Christyn Williams are visiting this weekend on unofficial visits. Tennessee is in very good position with both, but don't expect a verbal any time soon.

And both of them have already taken unofficial visits before, right. Taking multiple unofficials certainly can't be a bad thing!

What is the realistic possibility that the Lady Vols will be able to sign another 5 star with the possible exception of McCoy? Are we trying to recruit any 4 or 3 stars? I noticed that most of the remaining non committed top ESPN 100 do not have Tennessee on their wish list. I really hope we are able to fill our available scholarships. If not this will be the second consecutive year. We need to stop that trend.

Our sophomore class is a deep class with talent, so that might be the reason we are not getting commitments. Recruiting for '17 & ' 18 classes look very promising.

All of our eggs are in McCoy's basket. If we don't get her, we will likely go JUCO route. That being said, I really like our chances with McCoy.

We are in GREAT shape for the next three classes.

Yes, both KK and Williams have visited before, and both want to come back during the season again.

I like the sound of that! I think today's win over Georgia was a very good thing for KK and Williams! The atmosphere looked great on television and having them visit during the season would be great so they can kind of get a feel of how we operate as a team! I think McCoy is going to pick us as well but if she doesn't do you know of any of the Juco players they may have interest in? There's also a possibility someone could graduate and still have eligibility left and decide to transfer to us and be eligible immediately like the Post player from UVA that will play for South Carolina this year.
