Tennessee overcame a rocky first half to defeat Kentucky 73-67 on the road, moving to 10-0 in SEC play. Shekinna Stricklen led the team in scoring with 20 points on the night.

Wildcats did not impress me. They get blown out in Knoxville. Also, how much longer before Angie is back in the lineup?

why did we not get the ball to our centers. It was a good learning experience for simmons. I'm glad Pat kept her in the game

I think it was a case of Kimiko Williams to the rescue. She provided maturity. Megan will be our future but she can make you nervous. I, too, will be glad when Angie comes back.

Too many turnovers; primarily bad passes. That will get you beat in the tourney. Some of those passes were just stupid looking.

what the heck is going on with Kelly Cain and Alicia Manning?

Cain could've completely dominated down low last night. She had 5 inches on UK's tallest defender. She didn't look to score at all.

Manning (who I thought stepped up at the end of the year last year) looked completely lost, nervous. She had more turnovers than successful passes.

This group has got to play with a greater sense of urgency. Their approach needs to be 'we have to win by 20 or consider it a loss' - that's UCONN's approach and why they're successful. I hope Pat lights a fire under this team as I think this current group of juniors are serious underachievers... (Glory and Shekinna excluded as they do have that fire lately)

Kamiko Williams co-player of the game with Stricklen, IMO. Stricklen can take over a game with her speed and size combined but Kamiko was really clutch several times in a game where some players were standing around after getting beaten into submission. Her dribble drives are just fun to watch. KY played very rough and never took their hands off players even when they were past them driving to the basket-a holding foul normally. It's a good way for a shorter team like KY to defend the LVs if the referees allow it. If they had started calling "hands on" fouls early KY would have backed off and contested passes and shots (like the LV's defend) instead of slapping and holding. Glory, Strick, and Kamiko handled it better than the other players and seemed to keep their cool best. Simmons was totally frustrated by the way they defended.
