Lacking.... just about everything

It absolutely amazes me that we have a team of 2 and three year starting soph and juniors, and still completely lack basic game preparedness and fundamentals/skills. (especially secondary cover skills). Are you telling me that Miss St is recruiting better athletes than us for the past 2-3 yrs? No, so this is a complete breakdown in coaching. We have to put points on the board and we are calling long, low percentage pass plays on 3-1?! We are making a slightly better than average QB look like a heisman hopeful because we cannot complete basic route coverages.... Then we have a Senior TE who doesn't know he has to actually catch the ball on a kickoff? At this rate, we will get rolled by AL, SC, Mizz, and will have to fight for our lives to outscore Troy and Vandy. We are on the brink of a free-fall. And no, this is not a "middle of the game losing meltdown", this is watching closely a program come apart at the seems that has so much potential not being coached and wasted.

My wife just said the same thing. How can we possibly be going backwards with the athletes and experience we now have? We are now seeing how much of a difference Brian Randolph made back there, but I just can't get over how poor our cover skills are.
