Tennessee fans complainging about a band it really really sad.
UT plays Rocky Top what...100 times during a game...any game?
Away stadiums..home stadiums...
sorry but that's just ridiculous. I'll take a W on the road in the SEC anyway I can get it, but our second string offense + Alshon beat Tennessee's second string + Poole by less than 2 TDs
You think its rude?
Count how many times, per game UT played Rocky Top over that last two years...For every Lane Kiffin lie the band played Rocky Top...AD has a successful BM and they play.
No matter what we do at Williams-Brice, UT plays their tune...eevrytime a tackle is made, coplete pass...positive yardage play...11 men on the field...etc
I was at the GA game in section A, 5 rows behind the GA band. They did the exact same thing. Totally drowned our band out. I also saw several GA band members taunting Vol fans. Classless IMO. I understand these are kids and their team is winning on the road, but you dont taunt opposing fans in their own stadium.

Beg to differ. If we were playing something and a video came on, we kept playing.
Thats one thing if you had already started.. But to intentionally play to disrupt it... that is another.. my point was that we don't play rocky top after we throw INT's and we don't play Rocky top after we get sacked... SC's Band does...

SC's plays on Sacks, Neg Yardage, and Interceptions.. That was my point... I enjoy watching the half time shows and stuff but if I had it my way.. Bands wouldn't be allowed to play that much.. TN's or SC's... It's just dumb.. We came to watch football not to hear the bands play every 30 seconds.. You don't see football players at band competitions going out and throwing a deep bomb or juking band members after they are done playing a song...
Great post. I'm not only taking up for Carolina (Mighty Sound of the Southeast alumni), it's goes for every band. The band's job is to make an away game seem as much like a home game as possible.I was in the Pride for 4 years. On away trips, we found Pride in the fact that we would own the stadium as much as possible (pun intended). We played after almost every down. After good plays it was obvious why we played. After negative plays (opposing team scores a touchdown) we played in an attempt to negate as many of the home team's fans as possible.
You are whining about the opposing team's band playing too much??!?!?! Seriously!?!?!?! you should be complaining about the fact that South Carolina's band owned the stadium more than the Pride did anything in the stands. That is the embarrassment!
South Carolina's band did their job. I was more frustrated with the lack of playing from the Pride. Having to pipe in music at home because your band is getting out-played is absolutely embarrassing!
You should expect more from your band than you are getting now. Somebody should start a website www.firesousa.com. Let's treat him with the same respect that we treated Fulmer (none)

To be honest, you few people complaining is a compliment to our band. To hear another team's fans complaining that we play too much means Dr. Phillips deserves a raise. She was doing her job and obviously did it well.

It has nothing to do with venting over a loss or USCjr Fans in general... I just thought it was rude to play so much.. I would of still made this post had we won.. Congrats.. on the win though.. You beat a very bad team by less than 2 td's.. Can't wait to see you get embarrassed by LSU or BAMA in the SEC championship game... You're band will look really dumb playing every down when your down by 30...
yes, they beat poor defenseless ut. At the end of the day, they get to return home to scenic south carolina and look at all their sec and national championship trophies.
Also, do they really think spurrier is going to coach until he keels over?
As for the band, they have never been good. Ut, uga, bama, uf have always had some of the best bands...in the country.

I agree. I was very annoyed, but it was less about what the sc band was doing and more about what our band wasnt doing. I was embarassed by the band and the teams play on the field. Either way, i wanted to throat punch everyone in their band.I was in the Pride for 4 years. On away trips, we found Pride in the fact that we would own the stadium as much as possible (pun intended).
