I was impressed at the TN efforts to play some music in the Stadium at different points during the game.. Even though the old people prob didn't like it.. I'm glad to see we are trying.. The PA system needs prob needs updating though... I am not a band guy really at all but did anyone at the game this weekend notice that SC's Band did not shut up the entire game?? They played constantly.. After every play offense or defense they fired up and started playing.. It was so freaking annoying.. Every time something we tried to show a clip on the jumbo tron their band would try to play as loud as they could so people couldn't hear it.. Every time our band fired up they fired up... I actually saw the director guy looking towards our band and waiting for them to pick up their instruments... I just thought it was very rude of them to be like that.. You just don't do that in someone else's stadium.. If I were Dave Hart I think I would of been making some phone calls to their AD.. Props to our band for completely making them look like idiots at halftime.. Their band probably couldn't even form a circle..

Who respects neyland anymore as an opposing team? Georgias players ran over our band like they weren't even there when they came out of the tunnel.

As a fan... S.C. really pissed me off too with the overplaying UT. I mentioned how rude they were to our host, and she thought it was just because we were int he recruit section.... I said... nooooo.. they're just outright being disrespectful.

Well I mean SC did wait till we were out of the T this time before they ran out.. and I didn't write this to say all the SC fans were bad.. From the past they have actually been one of the better fan bases.. They were excited after the game but I still made a it point to say they didn't really have much to brag about.. They beat second string team by less than 2 TDs..

No one respects Neyland Stadium cause we are a joke, 102000 seat mecca for a traditon rich team like us and we average about 3 home losses in the last six years its embarassing probaly a 4th home loss coming too when Vandy comes to town.

I don't have a problem with the visiting band trying to overplay the home band. Isn't that sort of the point of bringing a band with you?

What I do have a problem with is chanting "Game....Cocks....Game....Cocks" while Brent Brewer is lying injured on the field.

It's not a lack of respect, it's simply that our band is trying to keep our team and our players fired up.

I'm not really sure what to say about the halftime thing.

So if the POTSMB was playing at SC after every down and through all the clips on your jumbo tron to the point where you couldn't hear anything but the band.. You wouldn't be mad?? I am in no way criticizing you fan base.. Most all of them I saw or talked too were nice and respectful.. It could of just been the band director that was doing it all.. I mean it was just over excessive..

Other games I've been too bands still respect each other.. they might play once then the other band plays.. Or like First downs they play... But after you Qb gets sacked.. WTF is the point in playing?? Our band didn't play when we go sacked... It's just annoying..

I'd be fine with it. I don't see anything wrong with the band constantly playing, but each person has a different opinion.

I am actually glad our band is starting to play more. Our band has sucked the last few years. The changes the new band director has made are phenomenal.

Well I guess it's just a diff in opinions.. Prob depends on where you were sitting as well.. all I heard the entire game was the SC band.. UT band was across the stadium and every time they tried to play they got drowned out.. I'm sure everyone by the UT band prob didn't hear the SC band.. I just didn't appreciate them playing every single down.. Does it really fire your crowd up when the band plays after the QB was sacked??

Not really, but I am glad that they are at least playing. We have set tunes for each down on offense and defense, which is why they were playing after a bad play for us.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.. "Ok we just threw an Interception.. Fire up the BAND!! Lets get the crowd happy about that!!!"

Was it me or did their band have their own little PA system that they were jamming an iPod or something through?

Howabout don't cheer when a college kid is injured on the field? Gaspumper fans are notorious for this. Well, this and having a permanent Skoal crease in the jeans back pocket.

I was at the GA game in section A, 5 rows behind the GA band. They did the exact same thing. Totally drowned our band out. I also saw several GA band members taunting Vol fans. Classless IMO. I understand these are kids and their team is winning on the road, but you dont taunt opposing fans in their own stadium.

To be fair, I laughed when the guy ran into the wall.

It was terrible of me, I know.

We've really hit rock bottom when someone has started a thread whining about the other team's band not respecting us by playing too much music.

Get a grip.

I was sitting all the way over in P and I could hear the SC band. Not to mention the dozen or so SC fans sitting near me chanting "USC, GO COCKS." I think it is all perspective and experience. I can safely say I did not enjoy sitting near them because they would get up every ten minutes and make me stand. I had one fan come over from nowhere during the circle drill and he stood in the aisle completely oblivious. I finally had to tap him and tell him I couldn't see. He was just there to talk to his friends and didn't care about the rest of us. A pregnant woman came by shortly after and told him to move because she was pregnant and impatient. He finally left stating he "wasn't welcome" and his face turned as red as his shirt.

If you think USC disrepected our team, fans, program, etc just wait until the Franklin Vandy team comes to town.

If we don't have Bray... that game is now a probable loss.
