La Tech Coach = La Tech Performance

We got what we paid for: a humorous salesman who does not know how to coach. We have taken a significant step back from even last year which was nothing to write home about. These players have not "bought in" and have shown zero improvement over the course of the season and THAT IS THE ESSENCE OF COACHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Dooley's personality, but the lack of results at this point is alarming. And I'm not taking about wins. Our schedule is brutal, but we are not even remotely competitive especially in the 2nd half.

We have zero confidence, no attitude, make horrible penalties, and have middle school fundamentals. I agree Dooley will get at least a couple more years, but he needs to find ways to motivate and TEACH these players to play with more passion and intelligence.

I simply cannot believe we have become this bad.

Thank Mike Hamilton.

And Dooley's not going anywhere for at least another year. So let Dooley continue to build our depth until we get a "winning" coach that will take over.

I agree with your premise, but the thread title is wrong. We're not even getting "LA Tech performance" out of DD's coaching. La Tech is actually going to beat an SEC team tonight, something that DD can only do this year in his wildest dreams.

Louisiana Tech is currently beating an SEC team, as previously said. I would take that.

Glad you are in California, You have a few hours to calm down so you can sleep tonight. Seriously, I do agree at this stage of the season we are not competitive with any team that is more than a bottom dweller in their conference. Dark Days...I believe Vandy gets it revenge this year and so might UK if the team quits and looks to the off season early.

I agree. But if you are favored to win, you should win (I'm meaning this in the La Tech game). There is no excuse for the BS our team showed us tonight. I'm not gonna try and make excuses for US.

I agree. He needs to show a more serious attitude with these results. When he doesn't seem to take it seriously, how do you expect the players to. At this point, nobody is unfortunately.

You can polish a turd, but it is still a turd. Your validating Derek Dooleys ability based upon a group of juniors and seniors from La Tech beating a SEC (Ole Miss). You have a problem with Lowered Expectations.

Louisiana Tech is bowl eligible. And has beat an SEC team. They might actually improve since they got rid of Dooley.
