Frankly it continues the tradition set toward us last year by 'Bama fans last year. Excellent foes, good manners. Just wishing we could get a home and home series with you guys.
..its not that far to Hell (where we apparently live)and you might be surprised how pretty it is.

So he said "no comment" to the coaching rumors?Of course the fanatics are concerned. FWIW, Whittingham within the last few minutes has been contacted by a recruiting website and has answered--through the University pr department (I presume) with a firm "no comment"
Site mods have emphasized its always been Whitt's firm policy to not comment on job rumors--it his style. He is the 'anti-Kiffdouche in that respect' (as well as a member of the anti-Christ cult, how ironic--must be a pattern), but I digress...
Definition: Anit-Kiffdouche (adj, colloquial): all substance, no style. (He's an ex-linebacker, for god's sake)
This Whittingham guy is a tough as nails, no bull****, tell it straight (he voted his team #1 in a BCS poll last year because its WHAT he Actually Thought!!) defensive genius. His dad was a defensive coach in the NFL--he was raised with a football in one hand and a ready-to-be-delivered ass-kicking in the other. He never bull****s. (which is weird for a twisted satanist)
He once said calling defensive plays is a gift that you have to be born with--Lou Saban is his witness.
His other talent: talent. He sees it where others miss it.
Look up the Ute talent in the NFL then read the star ratings these guys got out of high school. See, Eric Weddle, Steve Smith, etc.
UT would, quickly, be in the NC hunt with him IMO.
In short, I have a mancrush on him and can't decide whether he or the girl in the blue tee shirt on the preceding page are more attractive at this moment...
Does that answer your question?
in you're opinion do you think he bolts fot Tennessee utefan?
I don't know Whit's take on the money issue. If he is close to his assistants that could be a plus for Tennessee. SEC is definitely a pressure cooker conference but have won the past four national titles. His family can come to Tennessee after their missions, Jesse Mahelona and Albert Toena did. Non BCS schools will be trying to break through the glass ceiling as long as the BCS is in place. Just saying. In UT's favor:
1.You're UT (nuff said)
2.Much more money
3.Could pay his assistant's more
(Is the girl in the blue tee-shirt from Tennesee?--If so, move this to #1)
In Utah's favor:1. UT is a typical SEC pressure cooker job
2. Kyle has family (nephew and son, I think) coming on team after they return from Mormon missions, (gasp) in next couple of years.
3. Is it reasonable to think Utah has an easier road to the BCS than UT?
4. He is making a million and half or so. Not much by your standards, but as seen with Chris Peterson, Gary Patterson, enough to be happy with--I don't seem money as being a big variable, honestly.
5. What about the 500lb gorilla? Can a nonBCS school make it to the NC? Unthinkable a few years ago, but maybe Boise tests that proposition this year? If so, isn't Utah an easier road?
6. A very nice recruiting class coming in. (Even recruited (Cullen) against you guys.)
My fear:Its certainly doable on UT's part. Just because of the mystique.
Your take?
I think he'd relish the chance to beat Saban's fanny on a routine basis, don't you?Bring on Whittingham!!!
The guy is 47-17 in 5 seasons and has beaten Alabama. Not to mention he's 5-0 in bowl games.
Considering the timing and our situation this would be a fantastic hire.
I just hope it doesn't come down to "last resort" Cutcliffe. Ugh.
