Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

Omg!! Binger basically just said that Kyle being afraid is not legal justification for self defense.

Ummm. Last time I checked being afraid of great bodily harm to yourself or fear of death is the basis of self defense.

He's trying to sell "just being afraid isn't sufficient" which, without any other context, is technically correct. Binger's problem is that that there's been a parade of evidence, including video, that there was a real and articulable threat that could make for reasonble fear of imminent harm or death.

A majority of the threads on VolNation will veer from the topic in the title, for at least a few posts, from time to time. Someone who has been a member of this forum for more than 10 years is probably aware of that. If my posts, in particular, bother you? Then you should put me on ignore.
Lol., Half the posters on this board have you on "ignore". What's 1 more.

You’ve just got to shake your head at a prosecution for gun charges and the State prosecutor doesn’t actually know gun laws. 🤦‍♀️

Binger just said Kyle should have fired warning shots up into the air.

FYI: You cannot fire warning shots up into the air as that most likely would be considered reckless endangerment.
But President Brandon said to get a shotgun and fire two blasts in the air!

It wouldn't bother me in the least. I think you should as well. Now, whenever I say that, I usually get a response such as,

"I would, but I need something to laugh at."

The reality is, I don't think half the posters here have me on ignore, and that's because echo chambers are boring. Regardless of what anyone says, nobody really wants to be a member of a discussion forum comprised of nothing but people with the same perspective, who do nothing but express agreement with each other. That gets old fast.

Have a like. You’re absolutely right.

But you’re still a damn Commie liberal! 😘

having not watched any of the trial what's the likelihood that the 2 reckless endangerment charges for shooting in the air (or towards 2 people as charged) will be proven? Isn't there video of him shooting at things other than the people he hit or is that just something I read?

I read that as well. The problem is that you can’t believe anything you read about this case, the media has been garbage from the get go. I would have to see the physical evidence myself to even form an opinion on that charge.

found this:

COUNT 2: FIRST-DEGREE RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING SAFETY, USE OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON
This felony charge is connected to the Rosenbaum shooting. McGinniss told investigators he was in the line of fire when Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum. The charge is punishable by 12 1/2 years in prison. The weapons modifier carries an additional five years.
The jury was also given the option of convicting Rittenhouse of the second-degree version of this charge. The difference is that the second-degree version doesn’t require a finding that Rittenhouse acted with utter disregard for human life. The charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

COUNT 3: FIRST-DEGREE RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING SAFETY, USE OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON
Video shows an unknown man leaping at Rittenhouse and trying to kick him seconds before Anthony Huber moves his skateboard toward him. Rittenhouse appears to fire two rounds at the man but apparently misses as the man runs away.
This charge is a felony punishable by 12 1/2 years in prison. The weapons modifier again would add up to five more years.

EXPLAINER: What charges does Kyle Rittenhouse face?

will be interesting to see if either is found.

Idiots like him and the behavior of the police in a lot of instances are why I don't have a great deal of faith in our judicial system.
ETA: Just imagine if Rittenhouse was a regular Joe without a national GoFundMe account that raised $2 million, you'd be screwed.
We have a legal system, justice disappeared in most courts years ago. For most attorneys is only about W's and L's, and sadly many Judges are now about the political optics.....whichever side they are on....

I haven't dug into this in particular here but it's always been my understanding that such charges are viewed quite differently when associated with a self defense scenario.

The only shots Kyle fired that didn’t hit an attacker are the two that missed “jump kick man” as that guy kicked Kyle in the face.

8 shots fired in total, 6 shots hit attackers.
