KY struggling with Stanford right now. Looks like Calipari is right about the no D issue.

That is an utterly awful half by Kentucky. If they were playing a remotely competent opponent tonight, they'd be down 20.

44-40. Stanford ins't that good of a team either. Too many close ones not to drop a couple early before SEC play or the storied program games. Love to see UK lose right here.

I can already hear Kentucky fans if they drop this

1.) The floor is horrible!!! They can't play on courts like this
2.) Kentucky had trouble adjusting to the time zone difference
3.) The officiating is horrible
4.) Oh well. Tennessee lost to Purdue and we all know Stanford is 10 X better.

ahhh the wonderful world I live in by living so close to the border. I can hear in the 'holler' now lol

I can't stand KY, but I don't think they're going to dwell on the pre-conference results this year.

That said, I hope they lose about 5 of them.

Kentucky won't even think about Tennessee until January or so.

UK up by 1 now.

They've got plenty of teams left on their preconference slate who are better than Stanford.

Man Kentucky has a terrible defense. Clutch shot by Wall at the end but damn Stanford for giving them this game. They had the opportunity to put it at a two possession game and missed both free throws. Horrible decisions when they have the ball.

LOL @ UK fans talking trash about UT not playing defense when they can't stop Stanford guards from penetrating. Also funny to see the lack of fundamentals. They should have KILLED Stanford on the boards but never box out.

I guess some UT fans have no knowledge of basketball, well mens basketball anyway. UK is a very young team, new system, and JC admits we are overated as do I. UT with a senior laden team is very good,but about as good as they will get. UK will only get better and better and by March should be able to play with UT:)

some were ready to fire Bruce Pearl, who is a good coach and a great recruiter. How many MENS national championships does UT have? I am real with it.....UK will NEVER have the football history or teams UT has, same goes for basketball, UT will not be historically as good as UK. We beat UT....big deal...UT beats UK and it makes your season.

UK has a very long way to go, Stanford is absolutely awful. They lost to freakin Oral Roberts.

I agree, we do have a ways to go. We got talent,alot of talent, and I hope they pull it together. I hope the same for Kiffin and UT's football team......

They "should" be better but they "should" have won this game easily too so "should" gets you a whole lot of nowhere. I don't see how you say UT is as good as they will get when that's not true. Do you believe a player reaches or team for that matter reaches their maximum level of potential as soon as practice starts their SR year? Melvin Goins is a JUCO and Tatum plays a more significant role than last year. The team obviously plays better defense and freethrows are 50 X better. Without Wall, UK is average at best. But they 'should' be better come March.
