KY Only Ran 10 Plays The Entire Game

He needs to be ushered out. Worst case scenario: Dooley goes 8-5 next year, saves his job and this thing drags out another year.

Stability is the word of the day for the Dooley supporters. But as Fulmer showed in 2005-2008, it can be hugely overrated. And as Dooley showed in 2010, a program in turmoil can still pull recruits...

And as Kiffin proved in 09, leaving a program too soon can lead to almost an entire recruiting class being nuked from the roster

I'm having trouble connecting what UK did on offense to the loss. They had one drive that resulted in a fg and one that continued because of a ref gift. No way we should have scored less than 10pts

Everybody's hero Mike Leach would only call 6 different plays.

Execution is the word of the day

1. That group was full of low-character guys.

2. A good hire keeps guys on board.

Kind of a cheap shot - maybe a few were, but most didn't leave because of low character. Now the coach that recruited them? yes, low character

This. Everyone keeps harping on the wr turned qb liked he dropped 40 points on us. The defense played well, especially losing maggit for most of the 4th quarter. Our offense was the issue.

who are the names you're referring to? I'm getting BB and drawing a blank after that. We're talking about the class of '09 right?

Nah Chaney only ran 3. Run on 1st, pass deep to a triple covered receiver on 2nd, repeat same play on 3rd, then punt on 4th.

Yea their offense wasn't exactly mind boggling to say the least. Attitude lost this game and you know im gonna call Poole and A. Johnson out saying that the younger guys didn't want to be there and didn't play hard well I don't see in the stats where Poole had a 150 yard game and this is a true stat austin johnson didn't have one single solo tackle Saturday. To much finger pointing on this team starts with coaches and trickles all the way down to the ball boy who IMO is a step above palardy and darr

Our offense was the issue.

SO this!

I am not worried about our defense long term. Our lack of offensive execution coupled with what are apparently very unimaginative game plans/play calling DO worry me. We can't play backyard football against SEC defenses. Even Kentucky's. And that is sure what we look like on offense.

I find our lack of offense offensive!

This. Our defense played excellent. Our offense was the problem.

This loss was on Bray and the offense...Defense done plenty enough for us to win...Chaney is a moron and so are all of the idiots here that wanted the wildcat in the first place...It single handedly ruined our ONLY drive of the game IMO!

Bingo. This loss is on Jim Chaney. Only Jim Chaney.

I don't think you can argue stability in Fulmer's 14th-17th years vs 1 year of Kiffin and 2 years of Dooley.

Looking back at the Kentucky loss...

Our D looked pretty good overall. They faced an offense they were not prepared to defend, but defended it pretty well overall. Ky initially out-schemed us, but Wilcox adjusted and we defended well. They touchdown drive they had was a gift from the refs. Bad call on the fumble in my opinion, but those things happen. Our D did not lose this game for us.

On offense we were terrible. Bray was inaccurate and tossed two picks. He threw it to Da'rick too much. We have other recievers who can catch. Our line failed to stay on blocks on run plays. Our backs danced a lot. Our kicking game is a mess. The fumble in the wildcat was very costly. Some guys dropped catchable balls. On a side note, our play calling was predictable.

Give us a real kicker and we would have been in OT at a minimum. Add on the refs not screwing us on that fumble and we win. Or, take away our wildcat fumble and we probably score there and win.

The players lost this game, not the coaches. I hate it for everyone involved.

I think Chaney may be on the chopping block. His play calling doesn't seem very good. It's pretty predictable. I can see why Kiffin called his own plays now. Chaney should have designed his offense to fit his players. He did this in the preseason, but as we lost players he failed to change it up. We have some playmakers that are not getting their shot to make plays.

The final responsibility falls on Dooley. He has got to make the appropriate changes in order to move forward. He does a few things I don't like, but overall I have faith in him. How he handles the offseason, staff changes, recruiting, and next year will define him forever. While he can't control players desire to play he can put them in a postition to win despite age, athletic ability, experience, etc.

and we lost.

Very true but also our defense isn't why we lost. It was obvious Bray was hurting and off just by watching him throw. Didn't understand so few running plays with that obviously the case. Made no sense

A simple plan well executed will beat the best plan poorly executed every day. We executed as poorly as any team since, well, the Wyoming game, so we lost.
