I looked up that petition - this is what it says in the heading fwiw:

"This is to promote the notion to rehire Bruce Pearl if the position opens up at the end of the season. In no way is this being used to promote the firing of Coach Martin."

I was under the impression from everything I read that the petition was to fire Coach Zo and hire Coach Pearl...if the folks that signed the petition read the intro paragraph, many of them may have signed it to give Pearl a chance if anything happened to Z - not to fire Z imho

I hope he's smart enough not to let the worst 3% of our fanbase dictate whether he stays or goes.

He will be our coach until he is not anymore. Petition will have nothing to do with it!!! If he leaves because of some silliness as that he will be wandering around forever!!! Embrace the passion and move on!!! GBO

I know our athletic dept. is not known for it's brilliance for contract negotiations but I would hope Hart would not do what you propose. A bump and one year extension will work just fine.

One year is a bit of a slap in the face. I bet he gets 3 years added and a bump up to ~2million per year, give or take $100k.

Did you read the actual petition though? That little blurb had a link to a Clay Travis article that it called the "full petition". It outright calls for the firing of Martin.

At 1:16 he pronounced it like I have for 3 years and like every espn announcer has for every televised game I've watched. What am I missing??

It's pronounced "conzo" not "kwanzo". Most ESPN people get it right. I honestly don't see how people put a "w" sound in there in the first place.

I was glad to see it get that 2 seasons revival. Granted, comedy central didn't handle it the best and that's probably what led to it ending, but at least it got to go out on its own terms / with an ending this time.
