Kudos to Jesse Perry

In my opinion we need to put Sanders at guard the rest of the year and keep Perry at RT he has been one of the best in the country.
You don’t put in the time, work and $ to recruit the #1 OT and put him at guard. That is a sure fire way to not get any more top Tackles, especially in this era

Sanders is our RT and LT next year if Heard goes pro. He needs to be on the field at RT, to continue his development at the position he won in camp

Sanders and Perry are both freshmen and Pendleton at center is a sophomore and Moe and Heard are both juniors with another year of eligibility. We’re very young. The two deep fills out with Umarov (So), Warren (RFr), Satterwhite (RFr), Anderson (RFr) and Grant (Jr)…plus I’ve heard good things about the other Heard (Jeremias - 6’7” 330) and we have a 5 star commit from Chattanooga Baylor coming in January…the challenge is gonna be keeping them all here…

We have 3 bigtime Olinemen in the 26 class. After a monster 2025 class. Recruiting has greatly improved on the Oline and the coaches deserve credit. Joey has played great this year...but he also has a good line and time to throw the ball for the 1st time in his career. Even against UGa...for the 1st time in years...he had time to make his reads. The line is a big reason why our offense is so good.

He won the position when he signed the NIL contract - there was never a legit camp competition unless Sanders was just awful. JMO

I watched a Sanders tape breakdown earlier. He is an absolute stud at tackle. Athletic as any lineman we have had. Top to bottom great player. That said do the Moi-Perry shift and watch this line become an absolute force to be reckoned with.

If we had Nico at QB, everyone would be calling these offensive linemen failures and would still be calling for Elerbee’s head.

I’m going to borrow a gross generalization I’ve seen a lot over the past week. “You people” dont realize it’s a team sport and never will be able to wrap your heads around how it all works together.

Did I insult anyone vaguely enough to cause triggering?

Sanders didn't beat out Perry, Perry was going to start at guard, but also worked at tackle.
As I remember it, in our quest to start our best five players, Pendleton was going to play guard with Satterwhite at center but Perry was such a beast he won the guard slot and Pendleton beat out Satterwhite at center

Got to meet this kid before the season and knew we were going to be improved. There just haven’t been that many guys recently on our team that are just physically imposing. He’s legit, 6’6” and 330. The kid is huge and carries it well. He’s a tackle all the way and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s him and Sanders locking down the edges for the next few years. The good news is he can play guard, and will play guard if it’s best for the team.
