Now Listening to KC ESPN 1510 and one of the K State beat writers was on there.

-No one who was around K State when Currie was there is at all surprised at how this is gone. Has been a joke around the program all week.
-Currie had a relationship problem with nearly every head coach in the AD, from swimming to women's basketball, to football, and was on much thinner ice for the last three years than people outside the KState bubble realize. Was a relief boosters when he was gone.
-Raised money. Improved facilities, but his relationship with Snyder was so bad he knew he needed to get out.
-Not at all surprised that Currie, given his inability to relate to people and to see the big picture in regard to things like Snyder's value to K-State, can close a deal and do the networking it takes to do a search on his own.

And some of you geniuses continue to say "just let him do his job" smdh

When Currie was hired, I didn’t really know what to think. All along, I figured Fulmer of Blackburn would be the new AD.

I got sick of him quick after he stood on the field after we lost (I think to UGA) all dramatic in front of the cameras with his “mean face” on ... it was posing. Arrogance personified.

Then, he sat on his butt and said nothing as Butch Jones continued to disintegrate. Now, we find out he was doing something behind the scenes ... talking to Greg Schiano.

Worst. Athletic. Director. EVER.

Even worse than Mike Hamilton.

Who are these geniuses you are talking about? Last night he had a 99% disapproval rating on VN IIRC

Seems like every new coach/AD we hire has a group of people happy to see them go at their old school.

I see them in threads from time to time. Maybe there are more on VQ. Should be none but some people just don't get it I guess

Was listening to Xms radio and Rick neuhausel (sp) had bill Snyder on and basically asked him what he thought of Currie when he was the ad and it was crickets. The hosts even laughed about after he was off the air saying bill was too good of a man to go there. Sometimes not answering a question is answering it I think the guy is a self serving ego maniac and rue the day he came to ktown

We were warned. The usual dipschitts said Blackburn had a personal issue and Fulmer wasn't qualified. Probably the same people were getting wet dreaming about Doerer on the sidelines.

Eh, Easy to talk bad about someone after they are gone. Could just as easily be sour grapes.

board of trustees must be dumb as hell, davenport is apparently flawed as an evaluater, currie is just inept. haslems need to worry about the fraud case, and get the hell out of decision making for the school, and the gov mansion....pathetic situation

Currie was hated at KSU. Not sure he was hated as bad as at UT simply because you had Bill Snyder to keep him in check. Very different situation at UT
