Kroger Field

Not sure if thread worthy as it’s my first. First off, I’m proud of our guys for bringing home the W in an SEC road game. No matter how ugly it was. Hopefully they can continue to build on this and get better. I was unimpressed with the overall atmosphere at Kroger Field. The stadium itself was nicer than I expected but the fans were dead. In a tight game late in the 4th most in our section were silent. Even when it was “loud” it was nowhere near what we are used to. I’ve been lucky to go to several road games and none are as loud as Neyland. Some are close, but this is by far the quietest stadium I have ever heard in a close conference game. It really makes you appreciate what we have in Knoxville.

I like the music they play there

The Tennessee fans sounded louder on the TV. Maybe it was just where the mics were but the first few times I stepped away from the TV and I heard the crowd go crazy, I was thinking something bad must have happened. But it always lined up with a big UT gain or big UT stop.

Yeah, that 'crowd noise' had a weird pattern last night.

I finally decided that the SEC Network was using some fake noise. It did not align with the action.

Probably weren't excited because they know Stoops is a choke artist. I'd be quiet too in that situation if Stoops were my team's coach because I'd assume he'd not get it done as usual.

Being born and raised in Kentucky, my connections have informed me that as of last night there's been a change. It will no longer be called Kroger field, instead it'll be save a lot field, because Ky is a knock off brand😄

I remember in Columbus Ohio, people had a cow when OSU named their new basketball venue Value City Arena.

The loudest Cat fans cheered in our section was when the cops escorted some drunk dude out. They just weren’t that into the game. We even saw several leaving at halftime. It still doesn’t make victory any less sweet. There’s nothing like walking out of someone else’s house after a win
