Anyone tried these?

KontrolFreek – Designing Xbox 360 and PS3 Controller Mods

Saw them advertising somewhere a few weeks ago. Looked at it. Then, I ran across a thread at another board I visit and read more about them.

Long story/short, I ordered some today.

The idea is that a higher thumb stick gives you a longer throw. So, where a slight tap on a normal stick goes X distance, you have to push a tad further with these to get the same distance. So, the idea is that you have more precision given that you can control it better.

$10...what the hell. I don't think it will make me a great player, but I do see that it could help fine tuning and lining up shots.

Looks like it may be just one. Not sure. I'll let you know when it arrives. The driving attachment looks neat, too.

It must be late......By the thread title I thought the mods were recuriting shooters to control freak. I laugh at it, now.

I have a pair of the FPS Freeks, they work. I have had them since CoD4. They give you much more control. But once you use them and get use to them you will not be able to use a controller without them. And in football games I have had trouble using the hit stick and kicking fgs with the stick because the time is off and its a longer distance. I recommend them to anyone who plays fps.

Been thinking about ordering a set. I have played with people who have them and they swear by them and also these are heavily used by competition players so they must add something.

I have some. I first was a PS3 COD4 player and swapped to 360 for MW2. They make the 360's sticks better. They are still inferior to the PS3's analog sticks (as far as precise control is concerned) but they are a big help. I don't play a FPS without them.

Mine came today as well. Definitely improve aiming as far as being more steady & under control.

I tried both on the controller but took 1 off. It helps alot with my aiming but hinders my maneuvering.

I don't see how you could use just one of them that is really weird.

I also own some and I love them they are great for fps I was even able to turn my sensitivity up in CoD4/MW2 from normal to I think high not sure what number that is but it helps alot.

My only down side to them is I can't play without them now. It feels so strange picking up a controller without them on.
Also It does hurt my Field Goal kicking in NCAA 10
but I kind of solved that by just holding the thumb stick about half way down were it connects to the original xbox stick.

The little bit I've used them seems good. Just a bit more precise. I haven't turned up the in game sensitivity or played with it yet. Will do that next time I play.
