Everyone on here got excited when we landed him. Looked like a freak specimen...

So where is he? Like Richmond eventually a bust?

Great athlete that is trying to figure out how to play the game. He was more of a project with a high ceiling than most wanted or could see.

Assuming he is getting some good instruction in practice he should take a big step next year.

It's always next year for us. A highly recruited player can't come in and blow it up like one would think. But wait until next year, he will be a big bad ass.

3rd or 4th year of organized football.

Star gazing and athleticism doesn't always trump experience.

I know it's hard. But patience is worth it.

I thought Kongbo had a decent game yesterday. Watch the tape, stat line doesn't tell you everything. He consistently got leverage and push.

its why Scout, Rivals, and 27/7 recruiting gurus don't coach.. Quit making your predictions based on hype videos and players' (possessive) highlight reels.. It takes time,,, Especially at the Line, and absolutely in an SEC game against players who were so good that, get this, received scholarships to play SEC football as well.

He was ranked based off his ceiling being high. As it was posted above, he is very green to the game in general much less this level.

Too early to label either as busts.

Kongbo has played very little football and none at the level of the SEC. he is learning. Need to give him time. Because fans got excited about his potential, it was still potential. Not his or coaches fault he has not made impact yet. Give him time.

Richmond is a redshirt freshman who needs to get stronger and more experienced. give him time. Services likely missed on him being a 5 star but he has potential to be a very good SEC football player.

Kongbo pressured the QB multiple times.

Richtmond came into play and didn't give up a single sack. Played as good, or better than Kendrick

Plenty of guys came in and played well their first season. Manning, J. Lewis, Barnett, Chad Clifton, Eric Berry

Not arguing, but only 1 of those was a lineman, Clifton, and he was a 14 year NFL player.. Very rare. Yes there are examples but the reason we know of them is because it is very noteworthy when it happens..

between Kmac, Kongbo and Richmond, you have 3 guys that still have a lot of potential to be very good SEC players. i'm not ready to write any of them off yet. all three had developing to do, and disappointment in the three at this point has more to do with the hype they arrived on campus with, than the reality of where they were development wise.

They mostly do their evaluations in the Bra and Panties show in the summer.

From the few plays that I specifically watched Richmond, he seemed to be holding his own out there. Kongbo looks like a monster out there and was getting after it. He has all the tools but still needs to figure some things out.
