Maybe Kongbo can look at a guy like Malik Jackson. Malik played DE and then switched to DT and ended up winning a super bowl. Just got a huge payday when he was signed by the Jags

At their age, young men can change and mature rapidly.

Not writing Kongbo off this early; he might prove to be a great team player as he matures and develops.

Agreed. Kid needs to shut up and show up. It's bad form to be acting the way he has given he less than underwhelming performances thus far.

Otoh, I'm thrilled to see Nigel. I was privileged to watch his father when I was a student at Tennessee. This kid looks like the real deal and we badly need his energy and tackling ability on defense.

Come on Kongbo, don't be afraid to be good. Be good inside and be good outside. Do it all. It might very well raise your asking price down the road.

He bought into his own hype and thought this would be a one and done on his way to the first round as a DE...but forgot to be better than the two NFLers.

Same here !! I can't tell if the purple cape is intended to represent some our OL for the past 4 years / and the toreador our 2 starting qb's on multiple plays during the past 4 yrs ?? -- no, I suppose the bull is shown as representing our DL.

Agreed. And, I'd rather see both Taylor and Phillips get more opportunities myself

It's likely not a permanent switch. Tuttle and Mac will come back from injury and Vereen and (very likely) Barnett will be gone next year. I would expect Kongbo to go back to DE, but in the meantime he probably increases his chances of playing in the NFL by getting reps at both positions. :rock:

Been wanting to see Kongbo perform well in orange now for 10 weeks....before the childish temper tantrums. Still waiting......

On the other hand, Warrior hasn't gotten much opportunity but when he has, he's produced and looked like a future all-SEC player who plays with energy, passion and (good) attitude.
