When the dust settles, we may lose a recruit, we may gain a recruit.
Our current receivers should only gain from exposure to another teacher.

Maybe Heupel will return the favor and steal a receivers' coach from the NFL.

Basilio reporting that he was not a good fit...take that to mean what you will...and was encouraged to look around.

As always, it's Basilio, so take with a grain of salt. Fwiw, I had heard that there was some concern over his fit within the program before Basilio's report, too.

Wonder how in the world Basilio came to the not a good fit conclusion?

Every good Head Coach and AD has an excel file of potential coaching candidates at their fingertips. Just should boil down to who is available and who is interested.

I think the Heup is going to break some hearts and steal Jason Witten from his sons. But Wyatt would be a nice hire, maybe even better than Kodi.

Jasons one of my fave Vols ever. But if we’re getting a Witten as a coach then I want big brother.

Honestly, laugh if you want, but Dooley is a heck of a WR coach. Got to figure he would much rather coach wide receivers here than get Saban’s coffee and wash his car! Would be paid a lot more here and a much bigger stepping stone. Only question is can he humble himself to go somewhere he previously held the head coach position. Time will tell but this could be done in a couple days.
Dooley will never be asked to coach in any capacity at this University again.

How is he a good WR coach?

I don’t think anyone can talk out of both sides of their mouth any more than this!

Dooley is that you? No we good

This absolutely blows. Dude was a stud, and one of our better recruiters.
Yeah he was my number 1 concern at first, until I read about him and saw the improvement of our receivers. I guess we are about to find out how much of that was him vs a better QB and offense.
