What did everyone think of our KR's. I thought we got pretty good yardage every time. What are you guys thoughts?

Just imagine if Coker was returning that long KOR instead of Foster. It would have made that Mesean Jackson PR nothing.

I already dont like the new KO rule..30 yard line.

Nobody does, because the kickoffs wouldn't go past the 10 yard line and Cal would start on their own 40 just about every kickoff.

Another reason they scored so many points. They had a really short field every time. Colquitt should definitely handle KO's when his leg heals.

His punts really didn't impress me that much either. He could have kicked it farther down the field out of bounds. He is a Colquitt afterall.

I thought we did well on returns...no fumbles!!! yes!!!

It did look like Foster was "slow" but he appeared to be carefully watching the defenders and guiding his run rather than just barreling down the field.

This is off topic, but did anyone else notice when Ainge was blitzed and he tossed it to Creer that if he caught it he would of been gone for a touchdown. That hole was the size of the grand canyon. That was another missed oppurtunity.

YES!!! I noticed and I was not happy. I don't care that he's a freshman and it was bit of a botched toss, he should have caught that ball!!! That is what I am sick of--other teams make the plays that count while we make maybe 1 out of 10.:banghead2:

Another is when Foster looked behind himself and he got caught from behind. It just so happens that we got 0 points out of that drive. Yet again, another killer.

I doubt he would have broken some of those tackles foster did on that return, but if he would have he would have been gone.

I don't "blame" him, but at the level of play we expect to perform at, it's not unreasonable that he catch that ball.
Ainge should have never pitched that ball. If you want to blame anyone it should be Ainge. We are lucky Creer was able to dive on it.

Goes both ways... while it seemed like Cal started every drive at about the 40 yard line, the short kicks will also help UT's starting field position.

I don't recall one kick off by either team going into the end zone...

I watched several games on Saturday, and this was the only game where I saw the new rule making a big difference.

How many kicks did you see go into the endzone?

That's another thing, unless they're about 5+ yards deep into the endzone, guys are going to be even more tempted to bring it out since the coverage team is farther away now which will allow the returner to get up to speed even faster before he meets the other team. Not good for teams that struggle to cover returns...
