University of Tennessee's new football coach Derek Dooley arrival led to clash Knoxville News Sentinel

Interesting read..........

Then here are some Twitts by Hamilton this morning:

And last I checked, 10k sq ft in changes won't cost $9M unless we move the building to Manhattan. 47 minutes ago reply

utadmike There has never been dissension about the facility between Dooley and athletic staff. We share goal of delivering best facility for program 49 minutes ago reply

utadmike Today's KNS article about FB training center is a blatant sensationalization of facts. Coach Dooley never asked for $9M in changes. 51 minutes ago reply

Doesn't sound like a big clash. Sounds to me like legitimate concerns were voiced and dealt with and now the project is back on track. Maybe a few feathers got ruffled in the process but evidently everyone is back on board including the trustee. This is not a big deal in my opinion..

Between Dooley and Hamilton, Dooley is the far better employee to keep.

Hamilton is worthless.

Dooley is doing a respectable job with an almost impossible task of turning around the football program, imo. :hi:

Seems like KNS is trying to stir something up to sell more papers or hits on there web site. Wish they would turn there attentions to some positive effects this staff as had on the team.

Just my opinion.

If the staff can get rid of the AD that would be the most positive outcome I could imagine. MH is a loser and needs to go.

It's your team and your program Dooley. Don't take crap from Hamilton.

FWIW, I'm starting to like and respect Dooley.

Concerning the earlier post, I just noticed, I meant to say MH instead of MHF. I must have merged the two into one personality by now.

So, the point appears to apply to both. :hi:

He just seems to see the same things that I see in a lot of games. The players needed to get hammered after that effort and it sounds like he gave it to them.

I'm also glad to see that he's already figured out that the AD is worthless.

And, considering the task he had at hand this year, I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome, especially if he can figure out a way to beat UK. The most suspect part of the team is the defense, but it appears CDD is on top of that as well.

He's 'growing on me'. What can I say? :hi:

If the coach who was in charge at the time of the origination of this project, had spent 5 minutes looking over the plans, none of this would have had to take place.

This.

It sounds like the lay out was absolutely stupid, with vital areas being separated. One thing about Dooley, he's gonna tell you what he's thinking.

You guys do realize that picking bwtn Dooley and Hammy is inconsistent don't you? If you like Dooley....um, Hamilton identified and hired him - he gets the credit. They are a package...
