Crompton's freshman year hear he could not throw a ball until after the winter break. He had shoulder surgery. So really it's only been one season on the bench.

Are you nuts! Those were the only two down the field tight spirals that I saw thrown all year! The Ainge junk was usually catch and run by our splendid receivers.

2005 was a disaster at tennessee with 2 QB's. 2004 was a success at Tennessee. 2006 at Florida was a success.

And gave Tebow the Great snaps and he played significant minutes in every game last season. Chris Leak was an all-SEC quarterback, and Urban still played Tebow and used him to pick up those short yards that Leak couldn't get. Crompton is just as talented as Tebow and could be used in the same manner.

Deep down, you know what the real problem is, if you are really honest with yourself? The fact that you know, I know, the coaching staff knows that Ainge can get scrambbled and rattled in the head. Fulmer and company has gone out of their way since 2005 to maintain Ainge's mental stability/ego... This isn't California or Oregon. This is SEC football! I can't think of any other QB in the past 10-15 years that has been treated with kid gloves more than Ainge. Not even Chris Leak at Florida, with all of the taunts/whispers about him being soft/sliding shy of first downs was treated as gently as Ainge. It is amazing to me how much we bend over backwards for this guy. And you know this! The comments from the coaches CLEARLY suggest that that is exactly what they are fearful of. The 2 QB system in 2005 wasn't a failure because it was a flawed system (it had worked the year before).

If you honestly think Crompton is a good a rushing QB as Tebow, then you should probably quit wasting everyone's time with your opinions about football.

And how in the hell can you say Ainge was given kid gloves? We passed the ball last year more than UT ever has.
