My first thread. Sorry that it took todays insanity to spark this.
Ive read several articles and listened to the sports talking heads since this all broke. What Ive noticed is:
(1) only a passing mention of the allegations, if at all, in most cases.
(2) The spin has turned this into an indictment of UT fans rather than a debate on whether this serious testimony under oath should disqualify Shiano from a top job or possibly from coaching at all. Head Coaches have been fired for much less. Read the documents with the testimony. It makes your skin crawl.
(3) The Knoxville media and nor Athletic Department are doing anything to counter the false narrative.
Maybe I expect too much, but should they be doing more to get this discussion where it needs to be: on Shianos suitability to be a coach? Not just a head coach but at all?
