Knecht traded to the Hornets | RESCINDED

Knecht needs to find a new team next year. Lakers don’t like him or use him enough. With Luka his playing time will be even less.

They will trade him for a different big man if the offer comes. I expect he will go somewhere else now.

Going to be interesting to see if he just rots away on the bench now with Bronny.

This is awkward but .....

In the mid-90's, the Houston Rockets traded Robert Horry and Matt Bullard to the Detroit Pistons for Sean Elliott. However, Elliott failed his physical due to an undiagnosed kidney disease that would later force him to have a kidney transplant. The trade was rescinded.

When Horry and Bullard came back to Houston, upon entering their next game, they were both announced over the public address system with the theme from "Welcome Back, Kotter" playing. Both Horry and Bullard would go on to be integral parts of the Rockets back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995. There has never been a better clutch shooter than Robert Horry.

I love this news. Hopefully, Knecht sticks around and makes the Lakers regret trying to trade him.

Dodged a bullet there. Jaxson Hayes was looking really good tonight. As I mentioned earlier injuries and big men are like peanut butter and jelly. Williams has played barely 50% of games since he's been in the league. Right up there with guys like Embid, Holmgren, AD... __________ fill in the blank with 80% of all players over 6'9. DK is a rookie he will be fine, he came from the mud so he knows the struggle.

Very awkward! Nice try trading Knecht lebron!
I think you should direct this to Luka, but I also think people need to stop taking this stuff personally. It's not they they didn't like Knecht, it's that they had a specific need and they brought in a mega star that wanted a center like Williams. If you're gonna get Luka you do what you can to meet the need and make the most out of it. I don't think it means they don't like Dalton or want him. It's how the business works. It's not like they traded him for a player of the same position.

Austin Reaves went for 45 today. Where did that come from?

That has to be an awkward situation for Knecht, mentally, going back to the Laker's knowing that they just tried to trade him midway through his rookie year.

Luka doesn’t want to be there and I’m sure Dalton doesn’t either…especially now.

I doubt Lebron was very happy about them trading away his guy AD or Knecht either one. Apparently he didn’t know about the Luka trade beforehand, and Luka didn’t either. Anthony Davis may be the only player who was happy about this whole thing.

LeBron probably has assists on half DK's assisted baskets. I have seen Bron give Knecht several oops, layups/dunks on cuts to the basket and kick out 3's. But, the Hornets would have been a better spot for DK, when it came to playing time. I still think he gets 12-15 minutes per game until Luka comes back.

They can just acquire another big I’m the off season now. Long term this is great news for Knecht and then tbh. He will be a core piece for the next decade there if they keep him. I expect him to win a title or two during his career at LA.
