They had to drop the Herman talk. 3 losses this year, ouch.

It's HOUSTON. Where does the "ouch" come from? HOUSTON beats FSU,Oklahoma and Louisville in the same calendar year...but "ouch"...they lost 3 to similar talent level teams...HOUSTON..."ouch".

Some of you want a Head coach that could get fired thats from a pitiful and disastrous Big 12 conference for an OC here?? As Rick James said "drugs are bad".
I didn't say I wanted him (although I do think he would be a step up from Debord). I'm just saying he's on the hot seat at Texas Tech. People are saying he wouldn't leave Texas Tech, but it may not be his decision.

...as long as Butch Jones is our coach the offense won't change, essentially meaning that it doesn't matter who the OC is because Butch calls the shots.

A few have said this for quite a while now.

Seems many just don't want to hear it..

Get on board with DeBord. He's doing a very good job.
They won't. If Gruden replaced Butch he'd be high-tailing it outta' Knoxville after one season after these biatches have so relentlessly railed at him. When the stats are excellent for a season that's not as perfect as some unrealistically expect (as with DeBord's offensive stats despite phenomenal injuries...particularly on a defense that's relied the most on the O to roll up the points) VN's chronic crybabies are nonetheless calling for his head...sort of like spoiled car freaks who buy their dream car...see an ad for some "newer and different" model...then immediately trash the one they just bought. For myself, I see DeBord as the reason this constantly morphing offense has grown in productivity to this point. He's got a great football mind and is a steadying influence on a group that's been brutally embattled all season long. I'm with ya' coach D. Who's with those of us who back UT's big three of CBJ, CBS and CMD?:clapping:

I am getting really frustrated being on this message board. The coaching staff has done a great job. If Dobbs would have play just a little better in the South Carolina game and we would have held on to the football or not turn it over seven times in the Texas A&M game then..... we were incredibly close even with a tremendous amount of injuries. I love our coaching staff and they deserve our support. if any area is lacking, Jones has the integrity to change out the weakest link. for now I'm gonna go enjoy my team scoring and enormous amount of points like they have the last three weeks- thank you Coach GBO

You're exactly right, that's where a lot of the attrition has hurt us. But I also think it's not only recruiting OL, but developing the talent that we do have on the roster. If Butch won't make an OC change, I hope he at least makes the necessary staff changes that can truly better this team like DB, OL, and S&C. We have a real issue where our players aren't getting better, developing talent like other programs, or learning sound fundamentals and technique to be in a position to succeed.

As far as OL recruiting we have two 3*s right now, Calbert and Locklear, hopefully 5* Smith comes on board in the coming weeks.

I'm concerned about our OL play...maybe rather than firing the OC, we replace the OL coach...that was kind of the point of my post...with the #2 scoring O in the SEC we should be looking to refine - not start over...I'm old school so I always want a dominate OL - it can cover many sins...
