Hopefully we’ll control the ball on offense and our defense plays well and gets off the field quickly and neither DKJr nor anybody else has the opportunity to play 70-90 plays.

Can't be. No way UT's roster is this healthy going into the season. I had someone assure me now for a long time that a HC has no control or impact on how many players are lost to injury... that I was making things up by saying that S&C, practice methods, techniques, et al chosen by the HC factored into injuries.

He said he could play that many... basically saying that he could play the whole game plus OT without coming out. By no stretch is that suggesting he would.

The better news is that suggests he can give the Vols 45-50 plays per game at a very high level.

Well, by your describing the Head Coach's statement as "obtuse" at this point, let's hope you mean something like: hey guys, more than 70 plays but less than 90 plays is similar to more than 90° and less than 180°.
