I hope it's true but we've seen this before, guys show up to practice but end up not being game ready just yet.

#1 Team in the nation.
All of our walking wounded that can will give it a go.
Bye week follows.
As long as playing won't cause any permanent further damage, I bet we see almost everyone but Sutton & Sapp & JRM.

Man, I get extra fired up if JRM was back too. I'd probably drop and do some puch-ups if Cam was able to be back Saturday. Man, where's my helmet. Forget it, I don't need one for Bama.

If it were a matter of "giving it a go" because a bye week follows, I would rather them heal through both and finish out the season healthy. Winning out after the bye, will not be a cake walk.

And as great as DKJr is, an 80% DKJr is not better than 100% Jumper, if 80% DKJr gets re-injured, and does further damage because we play him too soon. Plus the Ginger Warrior has earned his keep. He has balled out.

Based on his lack of green jersey at practice yesterday, I would say there is no question he is ready to play. An understandable concern, but as far as injuries go I don't think they would rush DKjr back into playing too soon if he wasn't ready.

Alabama has gone outside the tackles more this year than in the past. This will put lots of pressure on the Mike to spy Hurts and also get lateral for the runs to the outside. Our DTs will need to keep their lanes up the middle and DEs will need to set the edge and force runs back inside. I would expect to see Gaulden or Warrior up close while we are running a 42. Possibly a big game for Bates as well.

I think both will start, I would imagine who's on the outside depends on how ready Kirkland is. I would say Kirkland plays OLB

I agree. I realize Kirkland isn't 100% right now, but I remember two occasions last year when Kirkland chased down Bama's fastest offensive player (Ridley) and one was a speed sweep. The dude is very instinctive and can cover some ground. Him being back this week is huge.

Why wouldnt you want DK at Mike?

Because McDowell is questionable. And Jumper cannot play outside. DKjr at less than 100% is still way more mobile than Jumper. Put him outside.

Ideally you put McDowell (If Healthy) on the outside and DKjr at Mike. With Jumper coming off the bench.

Compared to what's coming Saturday, the rest of the season is most assuredly a cake walk. If you lose Saturday the playoffs are no longer a possibility. Tennessee can win the last five games without a lot of these players. Play everyone against Bama and then let whoever still needs to heal, heal up during the by week and however long they need through the last five weeks.

Jumper has played admirably, but this statement of yours is certainly not true.

The injury was 4 1/2 weeks ago. I'd say the tape is more precautionary at this point.
