This legitimate discussion has went off the rails quickly with crazy notions of daddy donor influence.. The fact is that the kid is an important part of this program and obviously provides value but he is not the 10th best option athletically at LB on this team.. They are playing him because he "understands" the defensive scheme better and they feel he is least likely to make a substantial assignment error.. The problem here is that if that is the case then the talent evaluation in 4 recruiting cycles is pathetic and they are failing to develop guys mentally and physically at this position (actually maybe quite a few others)..
