When I was a very young man I sold Kirby Vacuum Cleaners door to door, but we called them home appliances.....I believe they sold for $495.00 then....I would clean the hell out of their carpets and then when I had em hooked I would hit em with the price...I did OK selling them in several ways....

He’s full of it and he’s always trying to creative narratives that make it seem like David and Goliath when his teams win, which is a common thing in sports today sadly. Coaches and players will take any little comment and blow it up to try to keep themselves and their team motivated, this making their victory seem like an unlikely feat.
However, this is simply a moron trying to pump up his guy for GM’s, and we’d applaud our coaches for doing the same. If Bruce Pearl took a subtle shot at Duke and JJ Redick back in 2008 to try to get Lofton some hype for the NBA, I don’t think we would have cared. It’s dumb but it’s him trying to pump his guy up. It doesn’t bother me. I’d take most of what any coach says with a grain of salt.

At least we are relevant enough to be on his radar - even during the off season. Vols are a cause for concern all across the football landscape.

Eventually Heupel will have to beat kirby. You have to give Kirby some credit he has pretty much shut down Heupel’s vaunted offense in two meetings so far.

Kinda amazed the VolDawgs in here haven't come forth in greater numbers to defend him. Usually they are all over any opportunity to defend that trash program.

He can decide to drink and be an ass and not talk to reporters. He can decide to drink then get arrested. See our qb is a thinker. Not like those qbs who play in a fast offense.

IMO, Kirby is right as long as he has way superior players than the other team and they don't come out flat like they did vs Missouri. As long as they come our fired up like when we went to UGA last year and their fans were on fire and brought it and got out team out of sync early and there after they will be fine BUT UT has started to get notice around the country and recruiting at a higher rate and coaching and scheming them up. After Cornbread left we were left for dead with a mass exodus of players now 2 years later we got the 2 time National champ throwing shade because he knows "We're Coming".

you hear them say imitation is the highest form of flattery. Vols are about to get a lot of flattery! Heupel can not do this for several years in a row and not get lots of national attention! Lots of people are gonna try to be Tennessee!

Does Kirby really believe our QB isn't making multiple on-field decisions? We should beat the daylights out of them if he really believes this.

When you have the talent Kirby is stocked with, I bet allot of coaches could match his record. Hell how many 4/5 star players does he have?;)
