Tagged just in case…you two should be plenty proud…and only a little of that pride is baseball related…thanks for raising and help raising fine men!

I spent 9 months back and forth to Levine Children's Hospital with my youngest. It is a hard thing on the kids. It is a hard thing on the parents.

These ballplayers were young boys once, not so very long ago. They had heroes. Many of those heroes swung a bat or threw a ball. The opportunity to meet those heroes would have been unforgettable.

These young men are now the heroes. They are now making the unforgettable moments.

It is a strange thing, love. It is stranger still how much a parent can love someone they have never met, never spoken to, and only know from watching them care for and about that parent's child.

I know how much I love a whole floor of men and women whose faces I have never seen (we were there during the 2020 COVID-mask era, so I never even saw a smile...).

@preacherman20 , @greasemachine - For those of us touched by this story, please pass along our gratitude, not just to yours, but to the whole team. I know these are commitments this team does regularly, mostly out of sight, but it makes me so proud to root for all of those memory-makers. Having the ability to bring joy in times of darkness is a skill. Being willing to bring joy in times of darkness is kindness.

I started this year wanting this team to win a title because I thought it was their time. I am ending this year wanting them to keep winning games because I am not ready for the season to end without me having the opportunity to soak in every moment of what they offer their fanbase! What a fantastic group of young men.

It is great to be.....a Tennessee Volunteer!

They went this time to deliver the pillows that we auctioned off game day tickets for a weekend game. The winner is on here and was very gracious on their bid and that bid allowed Kirby to purchase large baseball pillows to give out to the kids at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. The young man that the article highlighted was fun to spend time with Kirby said.

Thanks for posting- both the article and the sentiments above. Nice to see young men getting credit for acts kindness and generosity in addition to their play on the field.
Great ambassadors for the university! Proud to have met Kirby and dad last year up in regional at clemson. Dear friends from church are proud of their nephew Kirby in all aspects of his life.
