Very impressive. Not sure about as a head coach but as an RC/WR he is a very calming, confident person.

Very impressed right now. Maybe I should have been beforehand? Regardless, I was indifferent about him at first, but he certainly is growing on me.

I really like him. Definitely a good person to have as an interim HC doing damage control with these recruits.

he is certainly ALL Vol, and I love it...He really knows his stuff about Tennessee...I love it!

good press conference...I'll have no problem if Hamilton names him as HC, he's a good man and a good coach

He would be a great head coach. He will be the guy I think. I have been trying to think if there has ever been an AA Head coach in the sec? I think he will be a good hire if it happens. I think he has a different personality obviously, but one that moms and dads will want their kids around. I feel like he is the guy. :hi:

I hope he is our next HC. He knows Tennessee, he's from here, he knows how to recruit, hire him tomorrow Hamilton.

Definitely should stay on the offensive staff for the next head coach. I just can't see him getting the HC gig.

Gene Woj. reported that he basically kept the players from physically assaulting Kiffin last night. I can't decide if that makes me like him more or less.

I think he's done well for UT over the last couple of days.

He's a good coach. He's a good recruiter. I think the only thing I'd like to see is more extensive experience as a coordinator or head coach.

This being said, I have no doubt where his commitment would be were he to get this job.

I also believe he knows what it will take to get Tennessee back. He's been around this program too long not to know it.

I just wish he had more executive-level experience.

Reminds me of a Dungy, Jim Caldwell mold. Parents and players would probably buy into his personality.

Or let Thompson DC. The coaches that are left over are still great coaches(minus Reaves, I suppose. I'm not sure how much coaching he actually did)

HIRE KIPPY BROWN!!! I'm very impressed after the press conference. We're gonna be in the tank for a few years regardless of who we hire and this guy is ALL Vol. Give the man a chance! I'm a white redneck East Tennessean and I would love nothing more to see a black head coach at UT named Kippy Brown.

I wouldn't feel gyped if Kiffy is the next full time hfc, but I want to see discussion of who his assistants would be.

Sylvester Croom at Miss. State was the first African American head coach in the SEC.

Couldn't help but to love his confidence and personality. Kippy is refreshingly warm after the icebox we have been in. I don't see how recruits and their parents could help from being magnetized by a guy like him. Though this is a business, I'd hope that loyalty is still a major component involved. KB doesn't seem like someone to let orange nation down.

I'd be happy to have him as our next head coach.

I was very impressed by him. I have no problem at all with him being hired as head coach. If not I really hope he's on the next staff at the least.

 I agree make Kippy the HC let him get to work getting coaches and go after saving the recruits. He would be great for the players. They would really like having a real TN man. Get Al Wilson as LB coach. etc;)

That's the kind of guy you want on staff and talking to Mommies and Daddies.
