Kippy did his job as interim coach. We should be thankful for that. Makes a lot more sense now that he was tentative when asked about being the HC hire. Just walking a tight rope and did what was indicated in a difficult situation holding it all together.

I think most of us know Hamilton is a SNAKE. I appreciate Kippy taking the high road, and certainly wish him the best in Seattle.

Maybe, our AD will recommend Fulmer for the LA Tech job and we can recover a portion of his six million dollar contract buyout that Hammy saw fit to give him!

Hamilton did err on that contract extension, but Full-of-it had his friends and connections who were pushing for it, so Hamilton probably felt sort of obligated. But the suggestion for Fulmer going to LTU is a good one. Problem for PF is, (hopefully) LTU officials are too smart to make such a drastic downsizing of their program from even the level of mediocrity it is at now.

The La Tech Bulldogs in the WAC + a losing record= NOT QUALIFIED FOR HC AT UT

These are the teams he had a losing record against:

Army (0-1)
Auburn (0-1)
Boise State (0-3)
Cal (0-1)
Kansas (0-1)
LSU (0-2)
Mississippi (0-1)
Navy (0-1)
Nevada (0-3)

Out of that list, the only teams LaTech should have had a legit shot against were Army and Nevada. Total losses from those teams accounted for most of his losses (14 of 20). Tennessee, this year, would have lost to most of the teams on that list. We'd have bested Army, Kansas and Nevada... might have beaten Cal, but they decimated the same UCLA team that beat us at home.

I'm not an out-and-out supporter/defender of Dooley. Really... we know little actual about him... but when you try to spout off his W-L record (17-20) lets keep in mind who those losses came against. I will say this: wins in that period against Army and at least 1 win against Nevada would make me more comfortable with Dooley, but Chris Ault at Nevada is not a bad coach by any stretch.

Yeah but in the 3 years he was there ...he only won 1 more game that the 'bad coach' they fired did in his previous years. Like you ...if he had won the ones he should have and pulled a couple of upsets ...I might buy
