Kippy Brown leaving for the Seattle Seahawks (Merged)

not reading all the replies....

If it were true, then obviously he's not that loyal to UT as everybody thinks.

I mostly agree with this. I don't begrudge the man taking a better job for more money than he would have made here, but it makes some of the statements he made at the press conference ring pretty hollow.

No they do not ring hollow and here is why. Kippy Brown was told by Hammy that he would get an interview for the job. He did what Hammy told him to do, he held the team together, he calmed the situation down in the locker room, he called parents .. talked to kids. And while waiting for his interviev he learned through the media that a coach had already been hired. Put yourself in that situation. He got used. He got slapped in the face.. like I said UT (Hamilton) was the one not loyal.. Kippy just did what any of us would have done.. he went elsewhere. I know that Kippy was a long shot at best, and I believe he knew that too, but to be used like that is just sick. Would you not agree with that ?? GO VOLS !!

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I guess I can see both sides. He made it pretty clear he would be happy to come back to UT as a coordinator, though. I hate that it went down this way...really wanted to see him stay.

People all this negative has got to stop. Read, research CDD like I have and you will realize that we have got a great coach and a great person. Our future is going to be bright. Our team will come back on top.

Let the Lane train go west, they did not think we were good enough for them. They are not worth us wasting any more time on. They will burn themselves in the future it is their nature. ;) ;)

Welcome CDD!!!!!!
GO VOLS!!!!

You all do realize of course that this is a RUMOR based upon a TWEET yes? Then by all means, carry on. :banghead2:

Hope Kippy stays, if he doesn't I wish him the best.

Hope Hamilton is fired tomorrow.

Go Vols

Isn't it pretty much a done deal that he is leaving? What is everyone talking about, hope he will stay? Is there something going on that he has changed his mind? According to recent articles I've read, he is gone.

People can point fingers at MH all day but it was Kiffin'd departure that created this mess including the situation with the assistant coaches he left to fend for themselves. When one leaves their own brother-in-law behind hat speaks enough itself.

That being said Kippy probably has a combination of things going from a bad taste from Kiffin leaving to being slighted by MH and also working under Carrol. At this point someone like Carrol asking you to come on board is like Saban asking you to join his staff.

if you watched the mike hammilton press conferenece kippy said he did not go with kiffin, was he was not a west coast guy,am lost were is seattle

I heard a radio interview where he said he talked with Carroll before he interviewed with Hamilton. Sounds like he didn't have any intentions of staying anyway.
