Grunfeld was about 24 and 8 over his 4 year career. He played similar to Knecht but was a bit more physical with his 6'6" 225lb. frame. Dale Ellis was 3 time All-SEC and 2 time AA. King was 3 time SEC MVP and 3 time AA. Grunfeld shared SEC MVP with King in 1976. Ellis was 2 time SEC MVP

Yeah, it's not even close, Bernard King and then you can use, "in your opinion". But, King is first, if it wasn't for the knee injuries, we might be saying King was the greatest NBA player of all-time, at least top 10, depending on hardware, instead, he's probably just top 100 in NBA history. My bad, that was a hell of a run-on sentence. Anyway, King is the King, at UT, definitely top 5 in SEC history and top 100 in the NBA !

For me and the players I’ve grown up watching in my lifetime, it goes Grant first, then DK and Lofton. I think we are underestimating how great Grant was here

Plus he came back from those torn ACLs and made all NBA when he was with the Wizards. Just a complete badass who was literally an unstoppable scorer

Houston was fun to watch but in four years he never played on a good team. The year after he left was the worst basketball team I have ever watched. It was a black hole of talent and coaching.

Sheesh, yea I know the history of our basketball program.. it’s weird, my time has been TN football on the decline and basketball was on the rise and producing top 10 teams occasionally and now consistently, while our football team was fighting for a bowl game every year 😂😂

Using DK as an example is sort of silly. No one including DK himself would have put him on that list before the season either. He was an awesome hard working dude and earned his way up.
