Kiffin's Tweet on Meyer's Health Issues

All kidding and one-liners aside...Meyers' success was undeniable and he was a great college coach. He is an even better person for realizing his limitations and placing what's most important, first, in his life. :good!:

Without meyer around, Kiffin and UT should rule the SEC east for years to come!!!!

You know all the talk is about Meyer having a brain cyst but I don't believe that's the source of his health issues. I tried to warn him against eating that box of chocolates CLK sent him for Christmas

As much as I despise florida and meyer, I would never wish illness like that on anyone, to do so shows immaturity and classlessness. I'm sure clk was sincere. I wish urban and his family the best.

Well said! I'm embarassed by some of my fellow vol fan statements that actually appear happy by another's health problem--particularly right after celebrating the birth of Christ.

Well, considering I am yet to hear of anything serious health wise other than "stress related" I'm not real quick to join the pity party for Meyer. Hell, we all have stresses in life. I stress when I go to work everyday too but I unlike Meyer don't have the luxury of having millions and being able to live the same quality of life after quitting that he does. If I quit, I'll be on the Alpo diet plan so I take my butt to work everyday and grind it out. If the man comes out with something more serious than "stress related" health issues then I'll throw all my blessings and warm wishes his way but until that time I feel like Urban needs to hike his skirt up and be a man. But that's just me...

Suggestions for Kiffin tweets:

"I'm disappointed Urban quit before I got a chance to beat him into the decision. Nonetheless, I accept his resignation and the terms of his surrender. We'll miss seeing the Power T in the Gators' locker rooms."

Spot on. Sharp chest pains go with stress. I have experienced that. Coaching in the SEC is a grinder. So you learn to deal with the stress, or you get out. Heavy doses of Vitamin B complex works for me. Now if there is something more serious, my apologies.

I think that is what he is doing.

This decade has seen the departure of the 2 greatest florida coaches, spurrier left in 01 and now meyer. Weird....

It was a PC remark, but I don't believe Kiffin has a lot of genuine animosity toward CUM. I believe his prior remarks were said for a purpose, they worked and now bygones are bygones.

I still double over laughing about the warning CLK got from Slive who said coaches would be fined for their remarks and then CUM got fined for his remarks days later. What was intended for CLK cost CUM thousands. CLK must be laughing his azz off.

You still feel that way now that he's considering not retiring. He doesn't seemed real concerned about whatever ails him. I don't feel sorry for the guy.....at all.

Did anyone expect anything different to be said?

Exactly, I mean the guy's got health problems. Some you ppl are out for blood. We may hate him as a coach but it's not like he's a child molester or a terrorist. He's just a gator who use to be a ute and will someday be an irishman. Good luck and God bless to him and his family.

Since you've "poked at me" twice, I'll respond. Yes, I still feel the same way. The fact he's taking a year off for health reasons vice stepping down permanently is ok with me. What does that really change? So it's now ok to be gleeful the guy has a health problem and needs to concentrate on his health for one year? It's ok to say he's faking it, this is some sort of conspiracy theory, he should "man up," etc.? From a recruiting standpoint, I think it actually hurts Fla having him say he's taking off one year. There is no guarantee he will return and schools will use that uncertainty against UF. With their $ and success, UF could have replaced Urban with a stud coach. I wish him well and look forward to the Vols kickin' his hopefully healthy butt all over the field upon his return.
