His writing is absolutely atrocious. About midway down the page, I couldn't even follow what he was writing.

I agree with whoever wrote he was furious, and acts like CUM's long lost brother. It was as if he just sat at the computer and pecked as hard as he could at the keyboard, in a fury of hate.

My take on this whole thing...

Hernando Cortes had a plan, he wanted to lead an expedition into Mexico to obtain its many treasures. He presented his plan to the Spanish governor, who was so excited that he gave him eleven ships and seven hundred men. Cortes did not tell the men or the governor the complete plan. After months of travel the eleven ships landed in Veracruz. Cortes had the men unload everything from all eleven ships. As they headed into their new adventure the men turned back and saw all eleven ships burning! Their reaction was to fight back, as surely an enemy had initiated such an attack. Cortes halted the men, as this was in his plan, he had ordered the ships to all be burned. Cortes did not know what he and his men would encounter in their expeditions. What he did know was that by "Burning the Ships" he had completely eliminated their option of going back. At the same time creating an intensely powerful motivation to succeed.

Nuff Said... the Man is brilliant

Kiffin's Tennessee train is already derailing - CBSSports.com News, Fantasy, Video

Bad accusation. Bad apology. Big shock? Nope. Kiffin's a dope. Tennessee hasn't gotten the memo yet, but it will. The SEC doesn't lie. Coach a few years in that league, and you are what you are. If you're a great coach, you'll win games and maybe even a conference or national championship. If you're an average coach, you'll hang around a few years before getting the boot. And if you're an idiot, well, you're screwed.

I hate that guy.

The man hasnt even coached one practice, yet all these "experts" already know he sucks. That just shows their ignorance. I am sure Saban and Meyer say things at booster banquets that they would rather not get out in the media as well. I will reserve judgment on him as a COACH until he has actually COACHED A DAMN GAME!!

It's sad that CBS is so desperate for attention that biased garbage like this gets through.

Just to provoke a reaction and response from us....don't fall for it.

Trolls out for rating points. Let the guy coach.

If it was Spurrier it would demonstat his dry wit.

How am I supposed to know that thread was about this article? Nothing in the Thread title indicates that it would be.

Thanks for pointing it out, but seriously.

That's cool, this thread name will get more attention.:hi:

Until it was merged. Heck I thought it had been deleted. I went looking for it and poof it was gone and when you do a search for threads started by, it does not show up. But it does show up as a post.

More reactions:

Finebaum's article (Tennessee graduate) From this morning's Birmingham News.

"Tennessee must cut its ties With Kiffin."
Jon Gruden is mentioned as a possible replacement.

al.com: Sports

***Sorry. Didn't see the thread about Finebaum. Yes, lots of Alabamians dislike Finebaum, but he is usually right on the mark. Besides, he is a Tennessee graduate.

It's never occurred to me before that I could easily become a sports writer. Over the last week I've come to realize it doesn't seem to require much skill or intelligence.

In fact I think most high school girls have the genre down pat. "Did you hear what Cindy said about Kim, she's such a *^%$"

i'm beginning to think kiffen didn't understand what he's got himself into. the sec makes the nfl look like a society tea party. there's no doubt he's going to get his share of bloody noses. the question will be whether he's got what it takes to hang in there.

Finebaum's an Alabama fan that happened to go to UT. He's also an idiot that spits out worthless drivel for attention. Basically a shock jock journalist with no credibility.

The fact that Alabamians think Finebaum is on the mark says everything, about both.
