A couple of wins and a W over the Gators and Kiffin will be called the smartest man alive. I have read on the scout board where the players are pretty fired up becuse they have a coach that is not afraid to stand up to anybody.

Did anyone actually read this article? This guy is flat out furious. You would think he was CUM's long lost brother or something. Talk about unprofessional and out of line. Gregg Doyel is the real dope here!

i dont see how cBS would allow him to actually keep some of that stuff in their; He called TN fans stupid and made alot of other unproffessional comments about Kiffin and UT. I minor in journalism and my editor would have handed me my @$$ for tryin to put stuff like that in the tusculum news paper

I love all of this! The hell with the rest of the SEC! I love Kiffin and all this trash talk he is doing! And these reporters can talk all the trash they want about Florida hanging 59 on us in Gainsville that wont happen to Monte Kiffin's Defense! Maybe in the Bend dont break Chavis defense but not against Ed O and Monte! Tim Tebow will be running for his life because we might actually send some pressure in this game. Because I think our Secondary might be the best in the country so we can leave the corners on an island to defend one-on-one.
And another thing they keep talking is the lack of talent we have compared to that of Florida or Alabama???
Well Tenn had more talent the UCLA and they had 2 decent coaches who made some adjustments and beat a more talented team.
And Utah does not have a house full of 5* either??
Its about coaches and making the right calls at the right times!

I got Faith GO VOLS!

We've never exactly gotten favorable coverage by the media in the past anyway. Kiffin's going to have a lot to prove this season and until he does so, expect him to be constantly ripped a new one. Here's hoping he returns the favor come September.

I still to this day can't figure out how Chavis with all these years of playing against them could not figure out how to stop UF's offense...Seems like when we play them EVERYBODY is open when they complete a pass

Can someone please tell me if what CLK said is the worst thing that a coach has ever said about another coach? Give me a break!!!!! You would think the world is coming to an end.

In the end none of this matters one bit. It will come down to how the team plays this season and in the seasons to come. If Kiffin flops, nobody will care what he said about Meyer. If Kiffin is successful, again, nobody will care what he said about Meyer.

Taking a tongue in cheek pot shot at a rival during a booster meeting is causing this much up roar? There either is little real news out there or they are trying to make news. It does seem that some do not believe CLK is worthy of the UT job. Going by his college record as a HC, 0-0, they may be right. But most Vol fans see a upside. I think he is making the right moves with his hires. With the pay distribution. With the emphasis on recruiting. And even tweaking the nose of the bull's out there so to speak. It is his career and legacy on the line, and those were some bold moves, having never coached in a SEC stadium. But I for one, like it. Let's just hope we don't get horned by those bulls.
